I'm going to paint you a vivid picture of a waste of time and money.
It's Sunday night. You're hungry after a long day of cleaning, errands, and dealing with people. You want something easy, tasty, and something you can just pick up for dinner. You chose pizza; a past time favorite. You look at a bunch of restaurants around you. You could pick any of them! Then you see an old favorite. Rosati's. You've ordered from them more times than you can count throughout your life. You've never had a bad experience, and pizza was never wrong. You order for carryout and see wait time is roughly an hour. You think, "It's fine, it's a Sunday. I'll have dinner a little late. " You wait and wait. Finally an hour has gone by and you get in your car. You drive there and think nothing of it as you pick up your expectantly delicious, never wrong, always good pizza. You take the time to drive home. You open the box finally and to your surprise. It's ALL wrong. Wrong order completely. So you call the store to get it resolved, and they say they can't help you due to the manager and you needing to return the pizza. They proceed to hang up on you mid conversation. You get back in your car and take the time to drive all the way back out there. When it was discussed on the phone, they would start remaking the new pizza. Well now you're very hungry, upset, and annoyed that your time is wasted. You get there, and to your surprise; pizza was never started. You need to wait MORE time. Well, now is when you figure the store will right there even further wrong, right?? Wrong. They say it will be another 15 minutes and that the manager doesn't care. He refuses to answer his phone. He refuses to do good on his paying customers. Instead, the employee let's you have a measly 20 oz small soda because they can't do anything without their penny pinching manager answering his cell phone to explain how to right the wrong.
I used to work at a pizza place for over 5 years. Rule one is to take care of your customers when you make a mistake and make then waste THEIR time bringing the pizza YOU messed up back. Not just remake a pizza. Not a 10% discount. Not a measly 20oz soda.
*I will never order here again and will advise everyone else...
Read moreStarting off: if I could give 0 stars, I would! On Friday 9/23 I ordered about $100 worth of food through their Slice delivery service for a family member’s birthday. We requested delivery to a nearby arcade/bar less than half a mile away. We waited an hour since it was a lot of food but never got a call or text from the driver on where they were. When we called for an update on our order, the cashier that answered the phone said the food had been picked up by the driver “25 mins ago” which didn’t make any sense because we were a 5 minute drive from the restaurant. We waited longer and after almost two hours had passed, we didn’t want the food anymore. We called Slice support and were told that they could not provide a refund without authorization from the restaurant. Slice support called the restaurant on our behalf and said the restaurant was refusing to authorize the refund. We walked to the store to get our refund and saw our order sitting in the heater so they had lied when they said the food was on the way when we initially called them. We were told by the girl at the front (terrible attitude and customer service) and the manager that we needed to contact Slice for a refund. We continued to contact Slice and they called the restaurant again while we watched Bob the manager tell them that he “can’t give us a refund” but could offer to give us the food and 20% off. This was unacceptable to us, and at this point we just wanted our $100 back.
We left and went somewhere else to get food and started the process of reporting the charge as fraud to our bank since the restaurant refused to give us a refund despite not providing the food to us. At least 30-45 minutes later, we got a call from the manager who said the owner authorized a refund and that we had to contact Slice again to get it refunded. Slice put the refund through and we are now waiting for the charge to be reversed.
My family/I will never go through the headache of trying to get food from this Rosati’s location ever again. I cannot understand why they lied about our food being on the way or why they took so long to do the right thing but I would recommend that you steer clear of...
Read moreI decided to visit this Rosati's with a friend late this past Thursday night because I had such a great experience with the Western location and because the Taco place across the street had just closed. I ordered two slices, an order of fries, a 6 piece order of mild wings a bottle of lemonade and bottle of water. We decided to eat there and we got our slices and drinks right away but was told the wings and fries would be a small wait. Since they weren't too busy, I said no problem. The slices were ok. While eating, my friend and I noticed the wings and fries took upwards of 25 minutes and we still hadn't gotten them. When I finally go to see what's the hold up, the guy comes with the food wrapped to go and he apologized (the only person that did apologize). I take out the fries and my friend and I start eating them. I never bothered with the wings or checking them (big mistake) because we were both full from the slices after waiting forever for both. I decided I'd save and eat the wings for lunch at work the next day. I checked the wings when I got home and realized they were burnt, rubbery, overcooked and inedible. More like chicken jerky than wings. I called the restaurant the next day and Ana (if that's her real name) mentioned they could give me a discount on my next order, which I found unacceptable. I wanted to be refunded or credited the $10.99 for the 6 wings not a discount for less than the amount of the inedible food. She mentioned she would forward this info to the manager Bob (if that's his real name) because she had no idea who worked the night before and that he would get back to me promptly but he never did. No phone call, apology or anything from anyone. Avoid this location like the plague! Terrible customer service, and communication breakdowns due to extremely heavy accents and uncaring attitudes. The restaurant also wasn't that tidy. So many other great pizza joints in Chicago, please go...
