Yummy Thai — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Me and my girlfriend ordered Duck Curry and Red Curry Beef. I finished my food, but my girlfriend only tasted her meal and said she didn’t like it. I tasted it and confirmed it didn’t taste good either.

We asked the waitress to take the meal off our bill and the waitress said they could not return or refund the meal. When we expressed our displeasure at the Red curry beef and asked to speak to a a manager; she told us the manager would not be back until Tuesday and explained the food’s taste by saying “not everything taste the same.” She also claimed that she saw us both eat it, while her eyes have been glued to her phone throughout our meal. We asked for alternatives and she provived none.

The picture you see is how full the bowl was after me and my girlfriend tasted it and confirmed we didn’t like it. The bowl on the left is Red Beef Curry and the right is the Duck Curry. You can see the difference for yourself between food tasted and food eaten.

We used to be regular customers of this establishment since 2015 and stopped coming because of previous issues with food allegeries. We decided to come back to give it another try…clearly that was a mistake.

In short, they do not value their customers and have extremely poor...

Before I go into this review... please remember, this review is based on my experience and the food that was served on the day of delivery. Taking that into consideration...

I do not like writing a hurtful review but this was simply not a good food experience. We ordered here through "prime" and had it delivered. So sorry to say this meal was not worth the cost of the food and delivery. Neither of the meals actually tasted like anything. The medium hot was not spicy at all in either meals as well. A very bland taste experience which left nothing to.... well... nothing is all I can say. The only vegetable you could actually "taste" was the mushroom. We expected some type of sauce or a thickened liquid to go with the meal. When we transferred the food from the to-go containers to the bowls, it seemed as if it was merely water or the remnants of the noddle broth. Even if it was the broth, this had no taste either.

Again, a review can be hit and miss as you can see from the other reviews in and around this one. All I can say is "I" will not be ordering from here again. But, I see others who have given this establishment glowing reviews so all I can say is, try for yourself and I hope you have a...

I recently visited Yummy Thai for the first time and have to say I was disappointed. I ordered a standard chicken Pad Thai with medium spice and received a bland dish with next to no flavor. Meat, noodles and vegetables had almost no taste and there was no hint of spice that would accompany a medium dish. This was incredibly disappointing for a dish that cost over $10. There was also no water available for the table, and the only option was to purchase bottled water. In addition to the disappointing food, the restaurant itself is far from charming. Largely blank brick walls, lots of empty floor space, aggressive lighting, and low ceilings don't do anything to help create a nice dining atmosphere. There was also no music or other ambient noise aside from the 3 other people who happened to be there, which made speaking uncomfortable as it was easy to hear everything going on at the next table over. If the food itself wasn't ready as quickly as it was, I would give Yummy Thai just one star and I debated doing it anyway given the poor value for money on display here. I hope this place can pick itself up and start making some quality food, but I can't say I plan to return...
