On 9-20-25 at noon, I was yelled at and disrespected by the owner about two salads that I get every week. He wanted to charge me a higher price for the same salads that I had just got last week. Unacceptable , I will never patronize this establishment again!! Frank the son has told me the price for the salads three months ago, the owner who yelled at me has never checked me out or fixed these salads. I was spoken to as if I was stealing something.. I have patronized both locations for over thirty years, Unacceptable.!! Stop putting money before treating your loyal customers with respect.

Also I want to add the Owner kept yelling out, I don’t know the price…so why then disrespect and try to over charge me. Get on one accord with the pricing on your salads, I got the same salads last week for a total of $30.04…Shameful!!! Owner started yelling the prices can’t remain the same for five years, Once again I was there last week and ordered the same salads, therefore you want to raise prices weekly on me. Seems to me you’re targeting me on pricing!!! Be consistent on a weekly basis with your pricing and don’t try to nickel and dime me weekly!!

Thank you to the workers Tony and Giovanni for your respect and professionalism over the years... The Owner needs to take note and learn from your workers about common courtesy and respect. Money and Greed is the Root to all Evil Congratulations!!!!

If you’re having an overwhelming stressful day Owner because your sons and manager weren’t there, don’t take your confusion on pricing out on me! I chose not to use the same nasty disrespectful tone you used with me, out of respect for my elders..Be Thankful!!

What I will do is never spend another dime in your establishment again! I had just told the Judge let’s meet for lunch there next week, this will never happen, thank you Owner!!!

8-22-25 Response - Absolutely false. I just got the salads last week with the same ingredients for $30.04. You all targeted me for a higher price weekly until I had enough and spoke up…Dishonest, Shameful and Greedy!!

Caution future and present customers request a detailed receipt from this restaurant they are not right!! Read the review from a past customer. Trust and believe there are customers that are not aware of the reason receipts are not given in a detail break down of charges.. And there are times no receipt is given. Your loss not mine!! I empathize with your workers this reflects your integrity across the board not just with me.. Pure Greed and Bias!! The only one that lacks credibility and integrity is you! The one star reviews was on target never said the salad was not good, but your character and dishonesty destroys the quality of the food and...

Here on business from Atlanta, and am always on the hunt for an amazing Italian sandwich wherever I go. This one is it. Even at the end of the day, the bread was still amazingly fresh, generous size/portion for the price, top quality meats/cheese. However, I saw one of the staff make a hot beef sandwich for a customer, and the way that beef looked as he carefully pulled it out of the steam table... It was glistening in the bit of golden evening sun shining through the front door, much like how a recently unearthed sunken cache of pirate's gold flickers and glints under the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The worker produced a ladle, drenching the 8 inch monster in a 1/2 cup of it's own delectable juices. Briefly, I regretted my choice and contemplated just getting a second small sandwich, that hot beef. Add cheese. "Last of the beef", said the man behind the counter as he made the hand off to the luckiest dude on W. Taylor. My choice had been made for me, and although I truly loved that Italian (truly), I'll always think about the hot beef add cheese that...

1-16-2023 Stopped in around 1:00pm. Ordered the Contessa and a ham sub. These would have delicious except the bread was so hard it tore up the inside of our mouths. Not even the microwave trick helped soften the bread. Quality is going down while pricing is going up. Disappointed.

(8-17-2021) Tried the Rosie today. It’s like an upgrade of their Italian sub. Prosciutto cotto, volpi genoa salami, hot coppa and provolone. These are all ingredients I LOVE, but somehow I prefer the regular Italian sub? May have to do a side by side. The Rosie tastes decent, but it’s saltier. I’m sure some people might not even be able to tell the difference though.

Conti de Savoia has the best sandwiches on Taylor St (and there are a lot of sub/sandwich shops in this area). They continue to have very reasonable pricing while others have had price hikes. Their bread is a little hard sometimes but 5 seconds in the microwave fixes that. Service is hit or miss, depends on who you get. But I guess I don’t really care as long as my...

We have been going to Conti for 25 years. Their sub sandwiches are off the chart, and it's one of the few places I can find Italian imports. My only complaint is their cannolis. Not the taste of them but the quantity. The last 5 times I have purchased the cannolis, they are maybe 1/3 filled (see pictures). I have called and complained several times, and today, I asked them to please make sure they were filled. They looked at me and giggled. When I served them tonight after dinner, I was again disappointed. To do the job correctly, maybe they should use a pastry bag instead of a spoon. Or maybe charge you a third of the price since that is what you are getting!

A small seating area .Lots of imported Italian grocery items. Pricing average.Food quality good.Service average.Parking on street metered expensive. AWARDED 1.5 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3 Didn’t know about off street parking.A caring owners reply, plus I’m routine for the little guy businesses. Thanks ,raised rating .
