We had our twins birthday party here in November and the party was a success and all the kids had fun. We decided to give it another try and go bowling for 1.5 hours (2 adults, 2 kids.)
We arrived and was told it was 15-20 minute wait, no problem, we got put on the list and loaded up some cards to play arcade games while we waited. The games here are EXPENSIVE at $1.50-4.00 per play. I feel like The Operating Room gives your more play for your $$. Some of the games would take your money and then not start (bags game had no bags on the left side.) A lot of games were out of order. Not a huge deal, but when you're paying $60 to play, the experience should have been top notch. We played for about 30 minutes and went back to the counter to see how much longer bowling would be. We were told 15 minutes again - odd but whatever.
For bowling they put us in the "Executive Suite" room which was crowded and didn't have as many TV's. We asked to switch to the bigger room and were placed on lane 7. We picked out our balls and started bowling. The balls would get stuck almost every other turn and the machine would not return them at all. We kept hitting the Service button on the tablet that kept scores and noone would ever come around. Our balls would randomly come back to the front and we could continue bowling. We played 1 game. With 35 minutes left, all 4 balls got stuck again. We pushed the service button and waited. Noone came around so I went to the person working at the bar and let her know the issue. She said she would send someone over to our lane. We waited until 24 minutes were remaining and decided that noone was coming to help, so we returned our shoes and left. Super disappointing considering how extremely expensive this place is.
The only reason for the 2 stars was for the birthday party running smoothly, and we ordered some food while bowling that was hot and came out quickly. Definitely won't be rushing back to return...
Read moreI’ve organized multiple company events here and even recommended this place to others for team-building outings, but after what happened tonight, never again.
From January 1 to today (April 20), I’ve personally been here several times. Our company alone has spent over $15,000 on events at this location, and tonight we spent over $300 just in one visit. Despite that loyalty, we were met with completely unacceptable behavior from Amanda, who is supposedly the manager.
Today wasn’t a professional event, just a group of friends (Mexican and Black) out having fun. And within minutes, we were being approached and treated like unruly children, before we even started bowling. Mendez (I believe that’s their name) came to “remind” us not to throw the balls, even though no one had even begun yet. When we said that the tone was rude and asked to speak with someone else, we were told, “Well, she’s the manager,” like nothing could be done.
Amanda then followed us from the arcade to the bowling alley and even came to our table while we were eating. It truly felt like she didn’t want us there from the beginning. Her remarks and behavior were not just unprofessional, they were racially charged. And when we stood up for ourselves, she called the cops on us.
It’s incredibly disappointing and upsetting, especially after how much we’ve supported this business. What’s worse is that you can tell the employees around her don’t feel comfortable, and no one feels like they can speak up about how she treats people.
Let me be clear: not because of the amazing staff or the space itself, but because of the situation that went down today, I will never step foot in there again or ever recommend someone to this property again.
We came to have a good time and left feeling disrespected and profiled. That’s not how any customer should be treated. I won’t be back, and I’ll make sure others know exactly why. ( the picture this the picture of the...
