Puzzle - Restaurant & Club — Restaurant in West Hollywood

We rarely write reviews but Puzzle did deserve for us to make an effort ! So here we are ! We wanted to share our experience who was just an exceptional time in a very interesting and fun “speak easy”!

First we have been welcome and handle by puzzle staff since we came out of our car as if we were royalty ( wich is rare in La 🤣) . Then discovering while walking inside : a cabaret who is just a mesmerizing atmosphere full of red and black colors as “ Moulin rouge Paris ” vibes and clientele ! Already we were so exited ! Full of details all other .

We then enjoyed a top notch menu with caviar, Japanese steak or gourmet vegan options to name a few where the French chef came out personally from the kitchen threw out the different orders to check on us on how we appreciate his food..! ( yes he was just showing up with his white “chef outfit from france and french accent ..! ) ! Where the staff is dress as a Gatsby movie where di caprio could show up from one of his movies … 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼!

Regarding music we had an amazing singer showing up on stage ! A kind of young Marilyn Monroe who made us vibrate ..! So cool! For then continuing with the evening with this dj who mixed house music while we were already long gone tipsy thanks to the alcohol we didn’t stop drinking while Dancing around in btw courses on the dance floor .

A big 5/5 for the all experience ! We are European so we re picky ! And we have to say puzzle made us think of the best places of Europe we ve Been ..!

Don’t wait ! Book them and make sure you arrived early evening ( 8h30 ish ) for the early menu ( wich have many more options for food )

I had high expectations for this restaurant, given its upscale reputation and pricing, but unfortunately, the service was shockingly bad.

First, I ordered an espresso martini—only to take a sip and realize it tasted nothing like espresso. When I asked about it, the server casually mentioned they had run out of espresso. No one thought to inform me before serving me a $28 cocktail that was missing a key ingredient?

Then, my steak arrived with completely wrong side dishes. When I pointed it out, there was no real apology, just confusion. The waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu, made multiple mistakes throughout the meal, and generally had no clue what was going on. For a high-end restaurant, I expect professional service, attention to detail, and at the very least, honesty about what’s being served.

For the prices they charge (our bill was $600 before tip), this level of carelessness is unacceptable. Definitely not worth the hype...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Puzzle, a unique lounge that exceeded all my expectations. I really didn’t expect to find anything like this is LA. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the stunning interior—a blend of modern elegance and cozy sophistication. The ambiance is perfect, with dim lighting and thoughtfully designed spaces. The staff make the experience even better. They are attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. The drink menu is nothing short of impressive, featuring a curated selection of craft cocktails, fine wines, and rare spirits. I had the Velvet Vixen which was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The food is equally outstanding—innovative dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Every bite is a testament to the chef’s creativity and attention to detail.
