Tenmasa has been owned and run by the same family since the Sunset Strip was home to the debauchery of the 80's and you can see how it has stayed open for so long! Extremely spacious interior eating areas as well as the sushi bar itself, extremely cozy and the service is next to none! The waitstaff at Tenmasa make you feel like you're dining at a close friend's home, they are just so warm! The menu is vast, based in traditional Japanese-style cuisine and extremely fresh. We r neighbors, they are good ones. I worried that restaurant food might not be moving/fresh, but we were dying for japanese. Rainbow roll, salmon teriyaki - couple basics for take-out to split w asian lady ( tough audience). Greeted by the family, the senora of the operation opened each one, described it like carol merrill on the price was right.
