This place is phenominal. You know a sushi place is real when the chef is picky with the ingredients. We were lucky to go when it wasn’t busy; the chef had the time to show us the fresh, lively crab before frying them! He also showed us the uni imported straight from Fukuoka, as well as other fish that you cannot find from the U.S. markets. I was really impressed with the selectivity of the ingredients sources!

The atmosphere 5/5 You can choose to dine either indoors or at the outdoor patio, and both are private and romantic. Not too dark, not too bright. It’s a perfect place for a date night, but the food is so good many people come alone too!

The food 5/5 I’ve been to countless sushi places throughout my life, but I never thought I’d find the best in Los Angeles. I think this place had fresher sushi than the places in Japan I’ve been to! Every. Single. Dish had a wow-factor. Trust me when I say these dishes taste better than they look. The sushi just MELT in your mouth, with the perfect texture and bounciness you can have with only real, fresh fish. Absolutely no fishy smell, the plating —even though the chef does them in seconds— is beautiful.

Service 5/5 You’re greeted as soon as you walk in, but be prepared for a wait when it’s busy.

The chef had great pride in every dish, and you can tell he puts his heart into his food! I love it when passionate chefs genuinely care, and you tell by the food too.

The waitresses were extremely sweet and attentive, even when it became busy. Some of the menus gets sold out fast, like the baby yellowtail, so you must come early! However, all the dishes were delicious, so just go with an open mind and you won’t be disappointed.

I recommend ALL my friends to go :) my new...

A TRUE NEIGHBORHOOD GEM WITH AMAZING FOOD AND EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE HEART...I was craving sushi but boy did this come with an adventure! I ordered several items through Doordash and when it arrived I was first surprised to see an awesome treat on the house - miso soup! As I unpacked my order I realized the Dasher gave me the wrong order! When I tried to contact Doordash they were busy so I got a credit...but then Doordash called me saying they realized there was a mix up and that the restaurant wanted to remake and redeliver my original order, free of charge! So I said sure! Apparently though (and Doordash you need to work on this...) since I accepted the credit they said I wasn't entitled to the order but the restaurant insisted that I call them directly. When I did I told them I enjoyed the other order and not to worry about it. The owner said he insisted on delivering my original order to me directly, free of charge, and would not take no for an answer. When he arrived we tried to give him something for his trouble and he would not take it as he did not feel right about it given the mix-up. In these crazy times with small businesses doing what they can to keep open, I could not believe the unbelievable generosity and kindness from the owners. You have definitely gained a regular customer in me and I can't wait for more takeout and to be able to come into the...

This down-to-earth spot has extremely fresh cuts, expertly aged or marinated by quiet yet magnanimous chef Sachi. With few words and a kind smile, he catered a spread of familiar fish that I’d never had like this: fish that would taste “fishy” anywhere else, mellowed into their buttery subtlety, arranged in a flight with gentle nudges to follow an order that progressed masterfully. Sitting at the bar on a slow afternoon gave us the opportunity to talk about personal tastes, confer about modifications, and pick his brain about what Sachi thought was exceptional. I was delighted and (what’s the opposite of bullied?) into a fantastic meal, start to finish, trying to tease out the flavors in the quick brines of some cuts that he kept as a house secret, in exchange for a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. 11/10 (Pro-tip: take good note of the seasonal offerings, as many of these fish I have not seen before and won’t get my hopes up to find (or afford) so perfectly prepared outside...

When I come here, I like to sit at the bar for a more personal experience with Sachi and the other chefs. The host is kind, and Sachi has been accommodating each time. My partner and I had a craving at 9:30pm and Sachi still allowed us to order even though it closed at 9:30 (a Thursday in May ‘24). Another time, I ordered takeout right before closing and it was well packed and prepared fast. As far as food, I love the snow crab and spicy tuna hand rolls for a quick and filling bite. My partner loves the New Hollywood Boy - high quality wagyu beef from Japan.

This place was the most authentic sushi bar in the neighborhood. We visited on Friday night and there were not too many people. The patio that we sat in was decorated in a very warm and relaxing way. Exceptional for a low-key date. We ordered the tuna & sushi omakase. Very friendly for people who have difficulty choosing. The dishes served were extremely fresh and palatable. The waiter has selected the wine for us to pair with the tuna. The price was very reasonable for the food and service that they offered. The street parking was abundant and cheap!!
