Tender Greens — Restaurant in West Hollywood

First, I want to say we LOVE Tender Greens! We love the Manhattan Beach location and Culver City location. This review is for the West Hollywood location. This was our worst experience at a Tender Greens, ever! To start, we ordered a rustic chicken soup and we received a tomato soup, I told the grumpy lady with black painted eyebrows that we ordered the chicken soup. She scowled,without saying a word, she turned around and left. She came back a couple minutes later with the chicken soup. Second, my food came first. I ordered a Cesar salad with steak. We waited. We waited. And waited some more for a grilled cheese with salad for my daughter. I was almost done eating when it arrived. Really?! For a grilled cheese?! When it arrived, it WASN’T a grilled cheese!! It was a ciabatta bread with Swiss cheese (I took a picture)! I couldn’t believe it. Needless to say, my daughter hated it. I had to send it back and get my money back. Lastly, there were 7 employees behind the counter. Seven! I took a picture. Not one person came by to ask if I needled a refill or if everything was ok. I waited and waited for someone. I finally had to get up myself to ask for a return on the grilled cheese. Horrible service! Horrible food!...

Okay tendergreens is a staple in LA for sure, and when it's good...it's great.

When it's meh, it's, well meh. Could pass on it and not be too upset.

I always get the steak plate....with mashed and the tendergreens salad. It's a great combo and filling.

The steak can be hit and miss....which is why I have to give 4 stars instead of 5. Also today the bread was more chewy than toasty....which doesn't excite me.

But the price is definitely reasonable.

The other reason for a 4 rating is the amount of plastic they use. Just see the second picture. All their cups, plates, Togo utensils are plastic. I was pretty disgusted when I saw this. When dining inside you get plates and silverware....which is great. But Togo orders are the opposite. Forever plastic.

For a restaurant in LA that uses words like farm...green.....healthy....they sure as heck could make their togo containers out of bamboo or other renewable resources. I mean, increase the price a bit. I'm in for the positive change!! Don't delay. This all ends up in...

I am writing to report an extremely serious incident involving one of Tinder Green Valet’s employees.

Upon entering the property, I was immediately approached in a hostile manner and told to “get the hell off the private property.” As I was walking away, the valet employee then directed a racist slur at me and made an obscene sexual threat in front of another employee. When I confronted him, he repeated his remarks in an even more aggressive tone.

This behavior was demeaning, threatening, and humiliating. Racist language and sexual harassment are absolutely unacceptable in any workplace, and especially alarming when directed at customers or visitors. I strongly urge Tinder Green Valet to conduct a full investigation and take immediate disciplinary action to ensure no one else is subjected to this...
