The coffee is goodâŚ
The problem is this location doesnât have staff. The last few times I stopped in after my training session around 8am there was only one employee working. I waited over 10 min just for my order to be taken.
Today a huge line formed and it takes them about 10 minutes per drink. After 15 min standing there and the customerâs in front of me order not taken yet I excused myself out of the line.
There were only two customers when I walked in, but one had an order of 3 drinks with cream and garnish. If you cannot service your customers timely simplify your menu to cold brew, lattes and cappuccinos.
Also their setup is so inefficient- I watched the employee going back and forth between the front and the back of the store to make a drink. The other day I had a super simple order- iced latte, but had to watch this guy make some ladyâs slow pour over and heâs literally standing there watching the coffee drip instead of handle my order in his spare time. Train your employees on multitasking, critical thinking skills, customer service and perhaps learn to run a...
Read moreI can't believe it took me this long to try out this place for the first time, despite passing by it countless times on Santa Monica Boulevard, right next to the delightful Lazy Bird açaà bowl shop and the nail salon! The inviting aesthetic might have seemed a bit intimidating, but I'm glad that I finally gave it a shot.
The interior is just as nice as the exterior. As you descend the steps, you enter a cozy nook. The menu is quite diverse, and you can even opt for a regular iced latte. Just let the staff know your preference, and it cost $7 because I opted for oat milk. They also provide alternative milk choices like oat and almond.
The barista on duty today was friendly and welcoming! Although there are numerous other coffee spots in the vicinity, such as Alfred's, Zinc Cafe, Urth cafe, and Starbucks, this one definitely falls on the more upscale and bougie side. Adjacent to it, there's a vegan ice cream shop that I have yet to try!
Keep in mind that the seating area is somewhat limited, but it's absolutely worth a visit! I'll definitely be...
Read moreLol I tipped $1 making this tiny coffee $9. On the menu it had $7/8 so I assumed those were prices for sizes and when $8 showed up on the screen I thought it would be a large. It could have been the price for hot vs iced but thatâs still pretty stupid and pricey. Itâs a tiny little shop, you would never notice off the street and it was completely dead and empty with just one person working. My friend asked for a drink iced. The girl told her it could only be made hot. My friend asked if she could have condensed milk added to her coffee - an extra charge would have been fine. The girl said no. Cashier girl then says another coffee my friend could try. My friend asks could I get that without nutmeg? Girl says no. Like what the actual F!? Haha. Completely strange and laughably awful service. These arenât pre-made drinks. Youâre making them right in front of us. JUST DONâT ADD THE NUTMEG. My friend felt really insulted after and I regret tipping that $1 on an already expensive little coffee that was half ice and gone in 4 sips, and the strangely...
