This place used to be great with previous ownership. The food had so much flavor. My family tried to tell me that the food has gone down in flavor and quality but I didn't listen. I wanted to see for myself. Enormous waste of money. I DO NOT recommend this place. I, later, heard this cafe was purchased by someone who has a lot of restaurants. It makes sense that the menu would change If ownership exchanges hands. But it makes NO sense that some corporation who is already in a restaurant business would buy a cafe and literally ruin all the food. I would think this café was bustling with customers who appreciated the flavor they had come to expect here (previous owners). But the new owners have taken the lead in dismantling the flavor shred by shred (or should I say item by item). Most of what we ordered could have been cooled at home in a much better quality. I've never left this cafe without emptying my place of food. But I only made it halfway and got rid off the rest. Everything tasted like cardboard. Ugh! I would not return here. They need to re-introduce flavors of the Great South Indian Cuisine again, If there is any way to...
Read moreIf you like dosas, this is a great place to come. The service was great, and the red lentil flour dosas were good.
We met for a family function, for the first time, here, and when we heard Indian food, we were thinking of the typical Indian fare, with various dishes like curry, korma, biryani, rice, meats and veggies. This place is mostly dosas and uttapam with dipping sauces.
It is much more affordable than other Indian restaurants, and felt like we were eating street food (which isn't bad). I am vegan, and there were no descriptions of what was in each dish. When I asked about vegan options, they explained one kind of dish, but I had no idea what I was going to get. It was a tortilla type thing, cut into triangles, like a quesadilla, with purple onions and a little carrot cooked into it. I received some dipping sauce to go with it. It was tasty. I think a little extra descriptions on a printed menu would help, to know what I am eating, since I have dietary restrictions. But overall, fun to try a new place and the help was eager to please their customers. They checked on us often and...
