We didn’t even get a chance to sit down. We came in as a group of 4 around 7:40pm Sunday Night stating we needed a table for 6 because the other two were on the way. As soon as we walked through the door the nice lady that greeted us was ready to seat us until we had mentioned we needed two more seats. Now I didn’t get the names of the staff but I’m assuming this other staff member was a manger or supervisor of some type because he had a button down shirt and bow tie on, a different attire from the rest of the crew. A man shoots his head around and comes up on the side of her and states they don’t have a table suit for 6. Mind you when we walked in there was only one other table seated in the entire dining room. I looked over and stated there is a table with 6 chairs right there we can sit at, now the man raises his voice and rudely states we don’t have the staff to accommodate 6 people. I’m sorry, 6 people on a Sunday night in a completely dead restaurant? I’ve worked in food service before, there was at least 3 people in the dining room able to wait and a few in the kitchen. I currently own my own company and I was trying to take my staff out to treat them to appetizers and drinks because I keep seeing your commercials about the new deal and none of them had ever been to chili’s before, neither have I. This experience makes not want to even try it , at least not at this location. Granted if they would have needed a couple of extra minutes, all they could have said was “we’re a little short staffed so we may take a little longer than expected”. But that was not the case, this clearly felt like discrimination. It wasn’t a problem with the kind waitress who was originally going to seat us but as soon as the man whipped his head around the corner and saw us, it felt as if he judged a book by its cover. We had just come from a long hard days work (working since 5 am) and all we wanted was a little dinner before we all headed back on a 3+ hour ride home. Im in the milwakuee area constantly, sometimes our business dinners have pup to 20+ people, it would be understandable in that situation given it’s a Sunday but 6 people isn’t much especially when it’s about 4 hours before you close. Extremely unprofessional especially from someone that is supposed to be a team leader. I’ll be sure to...
Read moreCame to pick up my door dash order a minute after they closed. The food order was sitting on the to go shelf. The doors work locked so I knocked on both entrances saying I simply was to grab that order and the security guard screamed at me through the window. I don’t think she was listened at all. She kept just shouting corporate policy we’re closed! get off the property. I was along side a child who left to get something from their parents car and was trying to return to their family also being denied entry while still dining there. This level of inhospitablality at a restaurant is just diabolical. I had to come back and take a picture of the store closed as door dashes corporate policy so I needed a picture of her since every table was full and looked like they were open. I think she called the cops on me for coming back and snapping a picture. She looked like her red face was about to explode. I went to pick up another order down the street next and when I drove chili’s 10 mins later by 3 cops cars were leaving the parking lot. I also eat here regularly but will not be coming back after how rudely I was treated as an independent contractor they hired through a 3rd party just trying to transport one of their customers orders. My guess is the security guard was hungry and trying to get free food. I ate dinner here earlier in the week on Tuesday night… food is always good but service is usually terrible. My drink from the bar never came (just a can of seltzer) server no where to be found, asked for my drink 3 different times after the food came from multiple employees. Drink finally came half way into my meal and was never comped. No wonder they can’t keep staff other than...
Read moreWe were at the Chili’s in West Milwaukee tonite. We ordered the 2 for $25 which was the bacon ranch quesadillas & Cajun chicken pasta. We also had a tropical sunrise & a sprite. I had a free coupon for a dessert for my birthday. The waitress was very slow. She was taking care of her tables that came in after us. We waited an awful long time just to get our desserts (1 for my birthday & 1 that came with the 2 for $25) we finally got the desserts & were finished eating. The waitress never came to check on us, so I asked another waitress to get our check, since we could not pay on the kiosk. We got the check & she never took the amount off for the free dessert. She told us it was off, but it wasn’t, it was added on. We should have paid $25 for the meals, $7.99 for the tropical sunrise, and $3.00 or so for the sprite. So this adds up to about $36. We paid $42 and some change. It showed the dessert for $4.00. Why would we pay $4, when it was supposed to be free. When we first asked about the coupon, she told us the manager had to take it off. Well obviously she did not do her job properly. I would like to make it known that we had the worst customer service tonite, than we ever had at Chili’s. We like Chili’s, but if this is how they treat their guests, then we probably won’t be back. And one last thing, my tropical sunrise was not made correctly. It did not have any grenadine in it & it did not taste like a tropical sunrise. I would of sent it back, but it would of taken too long. We were there for 1 1/2 -2 hours. That was way too long to eat for just 2 people. I look forward to hearing...
