I ordered 1 large pizza and an order of zepoles from this restaurant thru their own website, and because of internal issues (said to me over the phone when I called 1.5 hours later inquiring about the order) they had the delivery driver wait approximately 1 hour for the order….only for it to be delivered ice cold. Not worth the price whatsoever. When I called to speak to the manager about my experience I felt I was given the run around by the staff, and was told no one on site was able to help me until they heard back from the owner. Ultimately I left a message for the owner John and am waiting to hear back. I am a local and like to support local business, but if this is how they operate then I will be moving my business elsewhere.
Edit: it’s been 1 day since I got the owners reply and still no call back, despite claiming I would get one…
Happy to provide proof of exchange with uber driver who said the restaurant was having him wait 50 min- I continued to follow up with him and track his location on the map. I also met him outside the building so there was no wait with the doorman. Not to mention your staff said the issue was internal and they apologized for the delay, as I was originally quoted a time 35 mins earlier than when it was delivered. I am confident in saying this was an error on the restaurant’s part and not the driver or the staff at my building. I of course paid him an extra cash tip for the 50 mins he spent waiting at your restaurant for my pizza, on top of the one in the system. The total ended up being $60 for 1 large pizza and an order of zepoles....
Read moreOn recommendation, we visited your downtown location a few months ago and the food and service was excellent! The pizza was delicious and filet mignon sandwich was absolutely outstanding! But downtown isn't very convenient for me. So, when I saw the location on Dixie opening, I was thrilled as this is on my way home from work. About two weeks ago, I stopped in and got the filet sandwich, it was great! However, yesterday, I raved about the filet mignon sandwich to my workmates, so we decided to order from the Dixie location for lunch. It could have not been more disappointing!! First, they didn't have the meat for the filet sandwich - the whole reason we even ordered from there - so we switched to a meatball parm and a chicken parm sandwich and a chicken caesar salad. I'm sorry, but the food was not good. I realize the subs are similar, but both tasted exactly the same - and both tasted like pizza, not meatballs or chicken... The fries were the skimpiest fries I have ever seen. And the caesar dressing was not good. So disappointing and so embarrassing to have recommended to my workmates who didn't like it at all. I didn't even call to complain because I figured I would just be offered...
Read moreSo first let me start by saying I tried this place after reading the responses to any reviews less than 5 stars. Because, only someone with the utmost confidence in their product can respond to review shenanigans respectfully, and yet professionally season their comments with sarcasm and comedic realness. I was tickled and thoroughly entertained.
So anyway, I am pleased to report that the pizza did not disappoint! I’m certainly no food critic, but I do like to eat - Amen! I got the #1 seller Johnny’s New Yorker with pepperoni, and let me tell you from the toppings to the crust that pizza is the bomb. The toppings were hella fresh, the mozz with the basil… mmm chef’s kiss. Oh but the sauce….well seasoned, not too thick… just delightful. The sauce is what brings it all together for a party in your mouth! So good! My mom got the Hot Pie burger which was also delicious (yes I split it with her because why not?). The burger was juicy and flavorful. But I mean…. It’s a pizza joint… get the pizza. I’ll definitely...
