I used to come here all the time when I was younger. I have very fond memories of this place. Met a lot of my best friends here, like Shelby, and Crystal who tended the bar outside. I would come for Flaunt and the occasional indie/electronica night. I have great memories of dancing and seeing bands play. One of my favorite shows was when Snowden from Atlanta came to play, and they were magical, with soaring tunes. It's too bad it was a bit empty for that show. Another great show I saw was one Thanksgiving when a Foo Fighters cover band played here. It's right on Clematis and I think there's a parking garage across the street now which is convenient. I would park somewhere down the street and walk since it was so busy. The cover charges are reasonable, as well as the prices of beer. The DJs are always exceptional. I also remember meeting Poison the Well here back in 2008. They were chill dudes and very approachable. I introduced my girlfriend to them and she freaked out. I don't know how many high profile artists frequent this place now, but I'm sure there are some. I should go back one of these days, but I'm sure the younger generation has now taken over. I heard there's new owners as well. But I always had a great time here, socializing with anyone and everyone. Overall I highly recommend this place to hipsters, scenesters, emoxcore kids, hxc kids looking for new friends and a place to play. I'm not sure how much they get paid, but I'm sure it's reasonable.

This is such an awesome place to see a show. We went and saw The Interrupters play and what a great venue! Craft beer, a cool place to sit outside, a small, intimate stage just the right number of people inside. This reminded me of my college days in Manhattan and it reminded my husband of some cool places in Detroit like Saint Andrews. It is always great to see a show when you can actually see the people performing.

I have been here twice. The first time was for a meet and greet with one of my favorite wrestlers, Jeff Hardy & the second time was for a concert, Nita Strauss was performing. When you're there, it's a fun environment! However, I tried calling them during their business hours and left a message and ways to contact me. I never heard back from them.

This used to be one of my all-time favorite bars on clematis, hands-down. I’ve been going to this bar for eight years and I’ve always had a good time that is up until recently. The Guy who Watch the doors extremely disrespectful and always seems to have a problem with me. Not sure why, he Even used my personal life as a reason that I can no longer enter the bar for an argument that I had with my GF at a pizza place in march…. Not even this bar. Furthermore, he says Disrespectful to my friends and family About Me when they enter the bar. Strangely enough, I couldn’t even tell you this guy’s name, but for some reason, he has some weird vendetta against me. Anytime I pass by constantly has a Derogatory comment to say. he is extremely unprofessional. I’ve tried to reach out to the owners of the bar and leave my contact info. They never respond back, obviously they don’t care. It truly is upsetting for me because it was one of my all-time favorite places, but the help at the door has totally ruined all that. I thought they would make amend but I was wrong instead they doubled down and now I’m not allowed at all because I voiced my opinion. I have video I will upload to YouTube ....

It's always such a privilege to be able to come here. Have visited 3-4 times in the past year and each time I get to meet someone new and interesting - if you're looking to meet new people, this is a fun place to start if you're into an alt subculture. Bartenders and bouncers are professional and swift, and I always have a good time. The back patio is a great place to chill out with a free water cooler and the art on the walls are fun to study. I appreciate that the (apparent?) lack of a green room means you get to meet the musicians for that night while they float around. It makes everything feel very human. Also, if you're someone who likes to do things by yourself, the parking garage is right across the street and the pizza place across the street is open late if you need a place to sober up. I always feel confident walking back to my car. Crossing my fingers that some day Goth Night will be on a Saturday night so I don't have to...
