Sloan's — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

Where do I begin?? With the cuteness and color of the place? With the wonderfully nice lady who served me my ice cream? With the fun little things in the shop you can buy? Or, with the most amazing ice cream I have ever had? It's ALL good!

This adorable place caught my eye walking down the street. I had just eaten, but, I had to come in. The lady was SO nice, I had to get an ice cream cone. I was looking at the million flavors, but I am a butter-pecan kind of a girl so that was it for me when I saw it. I got 1 scoop in a cone with sprinkles on it. It was the BEST ICE CREAM. It was so delicious. I sat outside for a while at the cute tables thinking that the person who decorated this place was genius. Sure, it's about the ice cream and beautiful sweet treats - but I am all about presentation and this place was perfection. Even the napkins were cute.

They also sell cookies and treats, and a lot of little gift type things. If you are ever in this area, be sure to stop in and just look at the chandeliers! It's...

On October 20th around 10:00-10:30 in the evening my wife and I entered this shop. The short hispanic man at the cash register was speaking loudly in spanish to a hispanic woman at the cash register. The other two employees were there and were listening to their conversation. They ignored us for minutes even though they don't have another person other than us around ice cream bar.Finally I said loudly "Guys, is someone going to take care of us or are you closed?" Thereupon the short man at the cash register told me to wait a little and continued talking to the woman at the cash register. The woman he was talking to said something to me in spanish and asked us to wait. besides I think she was a customer too. 😄 He was about to take payment but they kept talking insistently. The man at the cash register who told me to wait a little looked very confident while doing so. 😂 Then the other employee next to him came and took care of us. There is no problem with the ice creams but this guy working is completely unprofessional and...

Honestly, I was so disappointed in the customer service it was not even funny. We did not spend any money there and we will not ether. We are not able to wear a mask and the mandatory mask is lifted anyways and I get it, Companies have the right to keep their rules. But when they say it with such rudeness it’s gross. I asked if they had non dairy ice cream and she said with a snap, “no mask, no service” with such an attitude. I said I’m sorry I’m unable and they lifted the rules. She said “well we did not and we don’t care if we don’t serve you. We will still be ok without your money” she said “you can even call the owner and tell him I said that” I said I will. She said it’s a life lesson for you. LOL!! It’s a life lesson for me?? Wow. I was shocked. I said we will take our business else where and we did and happy we did too.

It’s sad that an employee can hurt someone else’s business without any care in the world. I will not go back here and I would suggest not if I was you too....
