Second time I've been into this location. The first time they were stingy with the meat and guac. One tong of barbacoa and not even a spoon of guac. I had to argue to get the full spoon.
I had forgotten about the first time so I went in today before I went shopping. I ordered a kid's taco meal since I can't eat much. I get this at least a couple of times a month from other locations so I'm familiar with what it usually comes with. At this location I received barely enough meat for one taco let alone two. And the barbacoa had barely any flavor. It wasn't in the broth it usually is. I just had cheese, sour cream, and salsa with it and chose the chips as a side. Same things I always get. I also added a side of guacamole. They tried to charge me for the salsa and when I asked why they said you can only get three sides. I asked when did the meat become a side? It's the main part of a taco! They then tried to say it's because you get chips as a side. The manager saw the look on my face and said she wouldn't charge me the nearly $2 for $0.10 worth of salsa this time. Thanks for not charging me for something I shouldn't be charged for anyways. When I got home and looked at the side of chips that came with the meal that they decided meant I didn't need salsa there were 6 chips in the entire bag, not even half full. The bag is full at other locations. Extreme penny pinching.
And the seating area was filthy. There wasn't a single table or seat that didn't have food...
Read moreI had an unpleasant experience at the West Sacramento Chipotle today. I ordered a salad and requested the beans and vegetables on the side to prevent my lettuce from getting soggy. They were out of fajita vegetables, so I patiently waited for them to be prepared. However, when the employee (I believe her name was Anna) brought my order, she seemed irritated by my request for extra dressing. She practically tossed my salad onto the counter, sliding it towards me with an attitude. I pointed out her rudeness, but she ignored me and walked away.
I spoke to the manager about the incident, and he apologized for Anna's behavior. Kevin, the cashier, also expressed his apologies and was very professional and kind. Despite their efforts, this negative encounter has left a lasting impression, and I will not be returning to this Chipotle location.
I understand that everyone has bad days, but basic courtesy should always be a priority in customer service. Perhaps some additional training or a reminder of the importance of treating customers with respect, even when stressed, would be beneficial for the staff at this location. This is not the kind of service I have come to expect from Chipotle. Though I do commend the manager and Kevin for their handling of...
Read moreWow, 3 hours before closing and already out of chips? I was so excited to eat chipotle, it had been over 3 months since I last ate a chicken bowl. Unfortunately after the first bite it was an instant regret. The food looked so fresh and delicious but it was too salty to enjoy. Bite after bite the salt kept pouring; from the rice to the chicken, mild salsa, corn salsa, and the guac. What happened to tasting the food as you go to ensure the highest quality of food is met to the customers? I can't even fathom how the standards of food safety and quality have dropped while the prices of everything has increased. It's really sad because the staff is so friendly and inviting but not even the promise of free food will bring me back to Chipotle. The food was so salty it made us sick to our stomachs the next day. It's just my opinion but maybe due to all the past outbreaks and such, Chipotle has switched their business standard from fresh food to cured food. Well on that note, just a friendly advice to everyone else who finds that they are already in line at Chipotle or on their way there because of a majority vote, ask to taste a sample of the food, they can't deny you that right. Maybe that way you can...
