The food was good, I don't dispute that. However, it was no where NEAR worth the price. This was my first time at a Five Guys and, though I was stunned at the prices when I went in, I thought I'd give it a try, expecting something extraordinary in a burger and fries that I'm paying $15 for at a fast food place.
They were not extraordinary. Yes they were good, but not $15 good. The service was mediocre. I ordered tomatoes on my burger and received pickles instead. I ordered BBQ sauce on the side and they didn't put it in the bag. When I went back to the counter to ask for the BBQ, I could see it sitting on the back counter next to where my bag had been. I waited four minutes for one of the six employees within eye range to acknowledge I was standing there so I could ask for the sauce. She handed me the sauce with a smile, but much to my chagrin, I discovered that she had only set the lid on top of the little cup, not actually clicked it on, so it went all over my hand and the table when I dropped it down.
If you want a fresh meat burger at a reasonable price, go to In and Out instead. If you want a really good $15 burger and fries, go to Dad's Kitchen instead. If you want a good burger and good fries and you don't care that you're paying WAY too much for them, then by all means go...
Read moreI walked into Five Guys craving a decent burger, not expecting to leave with a receipt that looked like a car payment. $14 for a single goddamn burger. Then they hit me with $5 for fries and $4 for a drink. Did I accidentally walk into a steakhouse run by clowns?
And for what? A burger that taste like it was made by someone who heard about seasoning once but decided against it. Bun falling apart, meat dry, cheese sliding off like it’s trying to escape. I’ve had better meals at gas stations, and at least they don’t charge a ransom.
Don’t even get me started on the fries. Soggy, limp, and swimming in grease like they took a bath in motor oil. And sure, they give you a "mountain of fries"awesome, now I just have more garbage to throw away.
Five Guys used to be the good kind of guilty pleasure. Now it's just guilt and regret served in a brown paper bag. Fast food shouldn’t cost more than a sit-down meal. Get...
Read more$7 fries, thats carnival price. I asked why they are not as busy as In and Out, they were packed, came the reply "should have been here earlier" yes, but, they are busy and you're not. The only fastfood that I havent managed is Chinese food. When, it comes to food and its Saturday, they should have been packed. I could eat at Olive Garden for the price of a burger, fries, and soda. Kinda makes wonder, are people investing in their company. If, theyre not, its do to low sales, if they are, its because of the price of the items. Here is the biggy, the more important issue. How much money does the management team make in bonuses? With prices like this, the manager should making at a minimum on his bonus check, $15,000 a year, and if, the manager knows his job, his bonus for the year should be in the$50,000, but, theyll have to double their customers. Some businesses get it...
