MOD Pizza — Restaurant in West Sacramento

I love coming to this MOD store. Everyone is always super friendly and the restaurant is ALWAYS clean. But TODAY, more than any other day, I felt so well taken care of. I've mentioned my gluten allergy before but usually don't wanna bother people with taking extra steps. Kiara gave me a sincere "are you sure?" and before I could answer started changing their gloves, requested a clean tray for my pizza to be baked in and told me they'd use a clean cutter when it came out. The extra care Kiara took for my one order was amazing, because for once I didn't feel like I was burdening workers with my allergies, it was just done without a fuss and with sincere care. I just found out I was allergic to gluten about 3 or 4 months ago (developed it in my 30s out of nowhere), and it has not been easy changing my entire diet and finding out that I can't eat 95% of the things I used to be able to eat. MOD pizza is great for me because they have a gluten-friendy AND cauliflower crust option, so I can enjoy pizza like a "normal" person.

Ya see MOD pizza is very similar to blaze Pizza and that you get to build your own. this is just awesome for vegan types.

Pro Tip: Order your vegetarian pie w/red sauce, Daiya cheese, garlic, olives, roasted red peppers, roasted Vegan sausage crumbles & jalapeños.

The only thing that saddened me a bit was that when I arrived and plugged in my electric vehicle to charge, I had a taste for a glass of Chardonnay with my pizza, but due to ownership changing hands recently, they did not yet have their license to sell liquor and I had to go with an iced tea. A minor inconvenience.

This place is great on a nice spring afternoon because it has a large outdoor patio. It is dog friendly both inside and out. Service was very friendly and they say hello and goodbye to every single person who walks through the door. Gotta love that.!!

Food: Pizza crust is crispy and quality. I'm a firm believer that pizza dough is critical to an amazing pizza followed by the red sauce. MOD Pizza has figured out a recipe that is fresh and tastes really good.

The pizza toppings are not too generous but you can always ask for more. The claim is essentially all toppings are included, no extra charge.

Vibe: Employees are always smiling and they typically greet you when you enter their restaurant. Layout reminds me of Chipotle where you fall in line and build your pizza. Their menu also displays preselected toppings with unique names if you dont want to build your own pizza.

Price: Mod Pizza = ~$9 +tax no drink. I visit this place maybe once a month, if that. I would not reccomend this place to order pizza for parties. Go to Papa Murphy or your favorite...
