This was my first time eating at any seasons 52 location at all. I like the concept of reasonable portions and calorie counts.
Our food was great but the service was non-existent. We arrived a couple minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away.
However, we then stared at our menus for over 15 minutes after which my wife went up to the front to find out if perhaps we weren’t assigned a server. The restaurant was not crowded and we saw multiple servers standing around. A very nice gentleman apologized and came by and took our entree and drink orders and said waters would be coming shortly. He had handed us off to another waitress who introduced herself and then another 15 minutes passed and our waters finally arrived. My wife and I had to wait another 10 minutes for our wine. So this is now 40 minutes after we were sat to actually get our drinks.
On the plus side, our entrees followed quickly and were very good. Kudos to the kitchen staff!
Our waitress checked on us mid-meal, which was nice, then came back with the dessert selection a ways after collecting our plates.
Desserts were delivered promptly enough and were tasty. We then waited a while for the check. We put our card in the check folio and then waited another 10-15 minutes with no sign of the server. We waited and looked for her and eventually my wife went and asked another server to run our card.
No one came to check on us after the initial disappointment of not being acknowledged for 15 minutes. On my way out I audibly mentioned that it seems there is very little care at this restaurant for quality of service. The manager happened to be standing nearby and asked what happened. I explained and he said they were sorry and that was not the level of service they intend to offer. I noted the food was very good and my parents, who were with us, had come multiple times previously without any issues.
Thanks Dan for acknowledging our issues. However, I realized he had been walking around and checking on multiple tables earlier while we were visibly sitting around with no obvious service. He completely ignored us when he could have actually helped. The level of organization and quality of service is a direct reflection of their manager, and this particular Seasons 52 is currently reflecting quite poorly.
I would likely try another location of this chain as I like the restaurant’s food but I likely would not head back to or recommend this...
Read moreSeasons 52 hasn't evolved much over the years but it has held most of its quality and standard. The atmosphere is classy. It's clean and has the ambiance of a bustling professional food spot. The service was ultimately good but there were definitely some hiccups. My SO has a sesame seed allergy. We made them aware of this and they still brought out a dish covered in them. They took it off the bill but we went out of our way to make it known and it really is dangerous when we aren't vigilant for mistakes like these. I'm only writing about it bc we specifically told them about the allergy and to serve menu items that contain the allergens they were informed of, normally indicates a lack of knowledge of their menu. This is nitpicking (but that's what these are for kind of). Food was good. Again little details were key in this. The steak on my tacos was cold. Leads me to believe it was prepped meat. No biggie. I'm not telling them not to prep for their specials in order to serve timely meals. But the meat was still cold from the fridge. Got to hit the mark there for sure. It was the centerpiece of the meal. There were other tiny details but I'm not going to dive into them. They were small enough to overlook as a whole. The menu is well put together. It has many options. They're all flavorful and worth ranging across the whole menu to try. Not enough issues on this last trip to avoid going back. I had the potato and leek soup. We ordered two, both with no bacon, and one came with bacon. But the soup was good. I had the lunch steak tacos, covered the issues with those but they were really good overall. Fresh cabbage gives it a needed crunch. Tasty pico added freshness. It was only a good taco bc the meat was cold. Other than that it would have been perfect. Ordered the Korean bbq baby carrots. They're amazing. Spicy and sweet and earthy. Also ordered the entree salad. They gave plenty of portion and the seared tuna was good. Finished off the meal with an espresso and shared one of their tiny deserts. Overall it is a great spot for consistency...
