Simmer & Spice Food Truck: Paninis and Soups — Restaurant in Westborough

The lovely people running this food truck served eight members of my family graciously and patiently, and without even questioning their career choice or losing their sanity (as far as I could tell). I was that annoying person who showed up as they were closing, and yet they served us with a smile.

I had the lobster avocado panini, and it was a feast for the senses. Mostly the sense of taste. Crispy, buttery bread, savory lobster claws, creamy avocado that also makes me feel like this whole thing is a health food. There was cheese involved as well. And you can add lobster to ANYTHING on the menu!! Mac and cheese? Throw some lobster on that! Gazpacho? Make that lobster gazpacho! They don't serve chocolate pudding, but if they did, you could add lobster. This is monumental news.

If this were my last meal, I would die happy, knowing I had reached the pinnacle of panini consumption. I'm not planning to die soon, though, mostly so I can revisit this food truck. And form meaningful connections with my family and community. It's really a toss-up as to which will bring...

I realllyyyy don’t like giving small local business less than 3 stars. But $16-17 for a sandwich that was sub Hannaford/market basket quality is disappointing. Couple slices of turkey and maybe two slices of cheese. Nothing fun/inventive/different than being a normal sandwich. And the size was normal sized bread (albeit thicker). Bread was best part. Wait time was 20 minutes almost exactly, which I don’t mind. Never would get again, just due to price/value. You’re paying above price for average. Food trucks have stepped up game last decade and this one sadly doesn’t compete. I think they are newer, so hoping they fix it. Enjoy the pic of the sad...
