Amato's — Restaurant in Westbrook

Every time I get food here it’s a terrible experience. Multiple times I’ve come in there’s a woman that works here that is SO rude it blows my mind people can act like that to customers at their job… about a month ago i ordered a pazzo and sandwiches. My pazzo was ready by the time they said it would be but they said it’d be a few more minutes for my sandwiches I stood right there in front of the counter waiting….35 minutes later they go oops your sandwiches were sitting here the whole time. They didnt offer to remake them or anything and at that point they were completely soggy…. Was in a rush this afternoon (3/26/23) and decided to give it another shot since I was in the area…. The girl that answered the phone was CRAZY rude I actually laughed because I couldn’t believe it. I’ve dealt with rude customer service before but I’ve never seen employees that will fight and swear at the employees and attempt to aegue/pick a fight With someone ordering ofood just because they’re clearly having a bad day. I get that people just don’t want to work and people have to take what they can get but Westbrook amatos, get yourself some better...

Update: Gave them another try and it was horrifying. Check out the pics. Chunks of pickle, missing ingredients, leaving the top of the tomato, chunks of gp. What? I am embarrassed for the person that made it and served it to me. Your give a care is clearly not there. Will not return to this location. The food here is consistently fresh. I prefer my Italian sandwich made to order. They never fail to deliver quality sandwich Update: my experience tonight was disappointing because most of the staff appeared to have no direction/lack training, were better at walking around and eating than they were at keeping this business thriving. Fact is a pizza came out of the oven and after much debate it was determined to be a mistake. I hear the gentleman cutting pizza ask another gentleman if he wanted to help eat the pizza. I offered to buy it. Nope. Out back that pizza went, to which he made several trips to eat, all the while my sandwich order and others sat on the make table. My fellow employees & I ate at Amato's in Westbrook for 7 days in a row while building the Maine Savings Pavilion at Rock Row in Westbrook. We ate their cold subs 4 days, pizza 2 days & their pasta 1 day. All the food was freshly made but the subs only had 2 thin slices of meat & a lot of vegis. I expected a lot better sub for $8. The pizzas were very good. Decent amount of toppings, hot & fresh. The pasta was decent but could of used more sauce. The day we ordered pasta we ordered 10-4 serving dishes. We picked up our order & drove back to the job site. We had to immediately return to the restaurant because they only gave us enough forks for 12 people. Ordered food for 40 people, expected enough utensils & plates for 40 people. When trying to stay on schedule, taking an extra 15 min to go back to get forks & plates for everyone is an inconvience & forced us to extend our...
