This was a complete let down! I love Indian food and my friend and I were really craving it so we decided to try out this place since it was on our way to something else. The meal actually started off great with fantastic papadam and samosas. We were hopeful that everything else would live up to that. However, the dinner was absolutely terrible. I ordered the Navaratana Paneer and my friend ordered the Chicken Biryani. Both of us like a decent amount of spice and ordered them both medium. They were in absolutely no way spicy though! They were both actually a bit sweet. The spices and flavors in general were subpar at best. In terms of price, it was not a huge portion plus, I learned when the meal came that rice was an extra fee (though in all fairness to them, I didn't think to look whether it was included or not on the menu). For the $13 price tag and the poor quality of the food, it just seemed to add insult to injury to then charge me $3 for a portion of rice. I didn't come close to finishing my meal and will never go there again. I would recommend India Garden or Biryani Hut over them any day, both for price and quality of the food. (Biryani Hut has FAR superior Biryani to this place) The only reason it gets 2 stars is because of the samosas.... but that won't be enough to...

The garlic naan and samosas were good.
There was a lot of chicken in my butter chicken and it was cooked well. I was happy with that because a lot of places skimp and give you a seat of sauce and not much chicken or give you chicken that's gristly and gross.
Both entrees were incredibly sweet and lacked any semblance of spice though. Like off-puttingly sweet.
I got the butter chicken and it tastes like it was made with condensed milk instead of cream.
I chose medium spice since it was my first time ordering from here and didn't know what the spice levels were. But there was absolutely no hint of spice. I can't imagine what mild could be like.
My husband got paneer tikka masala and he also commented it was very sweet and lacked spice as well. He joked that his dessert was the least sweet part of his meal.
There are a lot of good reviews so clearly there are a lot of people who like this food. But I'm not one of them and it's definitely not what I was expecting as far as authentic Indian food goes.
I'll stick with Biryani Hut which...
Read moreI don't get to go to dinner very often with my Son and daughter ,I'm in my 70s, being from england and traveled the world, 6 years in Navy I have a good idea (i'm a chef) how indian food should taste, my favorite is rogan josh, curried lamb. the food was so bland and overcooked, the meat was dry and turned into a ball of strands, my son and I sent our food back it came back still very little flavour but hot peppers had been added this only made it hot no curry or flavour like bland meat stew, we gave our order before a group of obviously regulars, the waitress took our order before there's, they got served at least 15 min before we did. I was given the excuse when we asked about the taste we had ordered med hot and that's there mildest, altogether not a good experience, I have eaten there before and it had been ok, spending a $100.00 no alcohol this time, it didn't spoil our time together but did not enhance it, I know how bad or negative comments can hurt your business, but if they can't do better ...
