Bob Evans — Restaurant in Westlake

On 1/1/2025 around 8:39pm, I attempted to place a DoorDash pickup order at the bob evans at this Westlake, Ohio location. I looked at the time and notice I still had a minute to place the order thru this app. Then I checked to see what time the merchant closed that day which was 9pm. With one minute left, I was still unable to place the order.

I contacted DoorDash and expressed this also and was told that I was unable to because the restaurant refused orders as they are closed. Whelp we know that’s a lie as I called and confirmed and verified it on Google. The time is now around 8:45pm and I call to place a phone order. The employee on the phone did not seem pleased and was hesitant to take my order. I get it, it’s New Year’s Day and you want to go party or do whatever. However, you are at work and you’re still open for business thru the company that hired you which is Bob Evans.

Leadership clearly didn’t want you closing early or else it would have been advertised, etc.. I place my order while enroute and the male employee says “my doors close at 9”.. So I make it there and was able to pay and notice the employee that took my order and was rude. White male, young, had tight skinny jeans on, black shirt, long acrylic or press on nails, makeup and earrings but no name tag. He was so pissed lol but in that moment it was about principle. He didn’t greet me, nor look at me to the point a white lady who greeted me at the door, ended up giving me my food and taking my payment. She even thanked me which I appreciated.

In conclusion, Bob Evans used to be one of my favorite places to eat at. Unfortunately, unprofessional employees like him which bad customer service is changing that. With so many options these days, that will be easy to do. The onions in my chili were not diced, the apple pie that is priced at $4.39 is tiny. This place gets 1/2 star for being open and 1/2 star because the dinner rolls are good (although "endless" is a misnomer, more on that later). That's it. My husband and I were seated at a booth in the middle of the restaurant and promptly forgotten about. Three other parties were sat around us, one right next to us. They were helped, offered drinks, orders were placed, and it was like we were invisible. Even after we asked for help, it took forever. We only got one set of silverware. Even after we asked for another set it took so long to get it that we ended up eating our meal sharing the single set. My meal came with "endless dinner rolls". I asked for additional rolls and they were conveniently out at the moment, but there were more "in the oven and would be ready in 8 minutes". When we left 15 minutes later, there was no mention of them, a sorry it took so long, nothing. My ham and swiss melt was the sloppiest made sandwich I have ever tried to eat. This location is going down. I stop in for breakfast yesterday 6/29/2025 I had to use the men's room and the sink wasn't working to wash my hands, I was told they will get someone to look at it the manager came in trying to see what she could and she didn't know so she said she had to call someone to service the sink. I ask her so what can I do to wash my hands she kinda snap at me and said she don't know and responded "I'm new here". Thanks to a waitress who told me she will she if no one was in the ladies room I can wash my hands there I thought that was nice of her since that new manager was unprofessional. I can say this the men that come in at this location must not care about washing their hands because I was there 2 weeks ago and the same soap dispenser is empty a laying in the same spot 2 weeks ago which means they don't have no one cleaning and mopping the men's room because pee is always on the floor at the urinal be aware the dishwasher is the same person that suppose to clean the bathroom he's a old man and the service person at the same time he came out but had no...
