Mancino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Westland

The rating of 2 is not for the food. The food is a 5! The reason for the rating of 2 is because of the service. Let me explain, I had never been to the restaurant, I explained that to the cashier. I inquired about the differences between steak sandwiches and she explained there were more vegetables on one. I then ordered again explaining I had never been there. Everything was rung up separately ( after paying I noticed I could have had a combo for less) I inquired if they took American Express and she said yes. I paid then she asked about a tip, I said sure tipped her, she handed me the receipt and I noticed an additional charge. I asked what that was for and she said, “well you paid with a card”. She then pointed to a small sign near the register stating credit cards were accepted with an additional fee. She never informed me, since I was a new guest I was looking at the menu board not small signs. She got a tip, the store got an additional fee and I felt cheated. I told the girl it was my last time that I would visit. Geez tipping and fees with the added cost of food leaves the customer with no money! Hope she enjoyed her tip, your business...

Ordered 2 Personal pepproni pizzas & an Italian grinder. Both pizzas were burned beyond our taste. So I returned them & the remake was just as bad as the original effort. Also, the italian grinder was just cheese, a wad of ham, 1 layer of mildly flavored pepperoni that was the same color as the ham, & Italian sausage that was so scarce I had to double check the menu to make sure it was part of the sandwich ingredients. (Beware, Who puts mushrooms on an Italian sub???) They should relabel this grinder as a ham & cheese & mushroom sub because that's what this is. Even though the remake pizzas were unsatisfactory also, I still tried it because I paid for it. It tasted how it looks...Will go back to jets for detroit style crust pizza. I LOVE this place and so does my wife. Yes their pizza is quite good like many other places, but what makes them stand out the most are their grinders! The Lumberjack is my all time favorite but it's LOADED so that's a once a year thing for me. The Club, Italian, BBQ Chicken are among several other favorite grinder flavors (there are so many options). We also love their calzones and their sides and appetizers are solid too.
