Cottonwood Lodge at Hyland Hills — Restaurant in Westminster

Went here for Prime rib night and enjoyed it. Went back the following week to eat off their regular menu. Walked in about 715. The bartender looked annoyed a guest was coming in and shed have to work. Ordered a beer and chicken wings. A few minutes after ordering the wings... 720, maybe 725 the bartender asked me to put my dinner order in if I was getting anything because the kitchen wants to close (advertised close is at 8pm... i got there 45 minutes before close, not 5 minutes).

I said sure but wait til the wings are here before you put it in and ordered a ribeye. She told me they were out of that. And the NY strip and 1 or 2 other entrees. They were out of half the menu. I told her to cancel the wings and I'll pay for my beer. She gave me more attitude and said they couldn't be canceled. Tough, I'll pay for the beer and leave.

If you are out of half your entrees you should probably tell guests up front. Don't waste your time or money giving this...

So I don't know what the deal is but we are just there after golf today 2:30 both bartenders behind the bar look like they just turned 21 yesterday maybe their first job ever in terms of bartending. Anyway I watched the gal free pour a vodka and cranberry Tito's a whole bunch of ice and the free poured maybe half a shot and then for that privilege charge me nearly 10 bucks a drink.

I personally think you should hire better bartenders cuz I won't come back there and get a week crappy drink for $10 and then a bartender that doesn't have any cordiality or ability to communicate don't run your business with 18-year-olds you'll get more business.

Such a beautiful space but such horrible food. We ordered wings and fries while we listened to Jamie on the back patio. She was great - please have her back! The wings were the size of a sparrow's wings and were cooked to just under dried jerky. The fries were soggy with way too much salt. It would be great to have a good restaurant in this spot that had good food other than just mediocre "clubhouse" food. But if that's what it is, we...
