Dairy Queen (Limited Brazier) — Restaurant in Westmont

Never been to a Dairy Queen better than this one. Every worker always has a positive attitude and a smile on their face 24/7. Every time I have ordered from this Dairy Queen the workers make the ice cream fast and never mess up my order. When you walk inside you can instantly see that every counter, every table, and the entire floor is clean. The atmosphere of this Dairy Queen is never dirty and it’s always kept nice and clean. I love how the workers are happy to be serving customers and how they will make your order exactly how you say. Every time I go to get ice cream with my friends or family they are impressed of how well organized this Dairy Queen is. Even when it’s busy in there, the workers still do their best to keep clean and get orders out fast. I am so satisfied with everything I have received from this Dairy Queen. The manager is the nicest lady on the earth and always tries her best to make customers satisfied. I have grown a strong connection to the manager. She works so hard everyday to make cakes that look beautiful and to train her employees right. There definitely needs to be more Dairy Queen’s out there that provide this good of service. I will forever go to this Dairy Queen and this Dairy Queen ONLY because of how nice the atmosphere is. Even when I ask for specific orders the workers ALWAYS get the order right. I got a cake for my 6 year old. There were limited cakes available all were plain decor and most were blizzard cakes. My kid has a nut allergy so half of them weren’t an option for us as they were Reese’s or some other nut candy. I asked if there were more cakes, but the cashier basically said to check the freezer up front (the one I was looking in) she said there may be some in the back, but her tone was not one that was interested in helping.

I found 1 boring one plain cake that worked. I asked if it could have writing on it as the top had no decoration and was plain white. It even lacked frosting. The cashier said the cake decorator was not there so having something written wasn’t an option. This is not my normal DQ, but at most of the other ones I have visited, the high schoolers attempt to put a message or get someone else to do that. The cashier waiting on us, was unwilling to do anything. This is why I rated the service 1 star.

This location does not take the DQ App- so that is why I am rating the atmosphere 1 star.

We only went here as it was my kid’s birthday. DA cakes are fine, but not worth $40 if the cashier is unwilling to put a name on it or if there is no variety and not accept the app. If it wasn’t for my 6 year old having a birthday and needing a cake, I would...

I expect to have a wait when a place is busy... But 20 minutes for a blizzard? Maybe the two teenage girls behind the counter weren't enough, but I don't think it was entirely a staffing issue, because orders were being filled at a snail's pace. It got to the point where new customers would walk in and be very confused because out of the fifteen or so people in the store, only two of them were actually in line; the rest were waiting for the orders they'd already paid for. I have no idea how this girl was deciding which orders to make, because they definitely weren't made in the order they were placed. There were a couple instances where people would get one item from their order and have enough time to eat it completely before the person they were with got theirs; in between, a couple other random sundaes would come out for other people who had ordered before or after them. The girl at the register did not help make orders--except when a bunch of her friends came in. Then she stepped away from the register to make their blizzards ahead of the crowd of people who'd been waiting 10+ minutes at this point.
