Located in an alley in downtown Wheaton. I actually missed the turn because of too many people walking in the middle of the alley. Best place to park would be the Chase parking lot, if not there are plenty of free parking spaces scattered around. Inside has very appealing areas that are perfect for snapping pictures for Instagram. Prices are reasonable. They have a variety of drinks and snacks. Overall, I would rate this place 4.5/5. I took off half a point because I forgot to tell the owner that I wanted light ice and 50% sugar. If you don’t say anything then it’ll be 100% sugar, too sweet. I got the pink bubblegum with green apple popping boba, taro milk tea with coffee jelly, pandan rolls, and sweet potato swirl bread. Drinks were tasty despite the abundance of sugar. Read moreMy wife and I love milk tea. We have even been to many places even Taiwan. We are pretty sure we know all the best places in the Chicago land area. We also go to Japan every year. We know the potential of a Japanese bakery. So, we were so happy that this place opened up in downtown Wheaton. However, I think it was far from our expectations. The baked goods option are limited no where near what an Asian bakery has to offer and the boba is not that good. The price just makes it worse. We want this place to work! I invite the owner to check out the bakery in HMart in Naperville. That is what we expected. I thought maybe the items were limited bc they were still trying to get going but it seems this is it. How about some taiyaki or mochi? Still hoping this place...
Read moreThis place is the only Japanese inspired bubble tea I have found in the county of Dupage and in the west suburbs of Chicago. From Hokkaido milk tea to the shokupan (swirl bread), they offer a variety of Japanese items to try. As someone who grew up in Japan I really appreciate that they have brought in drinks and food that remind me of some piece of home.
I recently noticed that they added jewelry accessories including some Sanrio character earrings. The earring variety may change.
Regardless of your background, if you want to try a place that’s a little different from what you are used to, you can give this place a try. The staff is friendly and they also try to incorporate communal meals to be enjoyed by the locals and...
