The manager Alan is very rude and has no interpersonal skills. After finally being seated with my co-workers, the first issue began with the waiter. I asked for my drink to be half lemonade and half fruit punch. I don't think he understood so I repeated myself and he stated "I see you're being difficult this morning." He took the rest of the drink orders in addition to our food orders as we requested because we were on a time schedule. He obviously was high on something because after taking everyone's orders, he brought out the drinks, couldn't remember who had which drink and then asked had anyone brought us menus. He didn't realize he had already taken our food orders. He was heavily sweating and looked like he was in a daze. One of my co-workers asked to speak to the manager because it had been 40 minutes and we still hadn't received our food. Meanwhile, those who were seated after us were eating even on food that would've taken longer to cook than what we ordered. We asked for our food to be made to go. The manager brings out our food, but multiple orders were wrong (nine of us total). A nice hostess by the name of Tia made sure we were alright, asked if we needed anything and apologized for our experience. She even suggested having our drinks comped for the inconvenience. However, the manager said he couldn't offer any discounts or comp the drinks. So again, we had a high waiter who put our orders in incorrectly and didn't even remember that he asked for our orders. We also had to wait 40 minutes to get our food that was meant to be eaten in the restaurant to go. And instead of the manager being so cheap and focusing on the cost of a few sodas, he should've been worried about the same waiter who was too busy eating the food in the back from the incorrect orders that could've also been comped for our inconvenience. The service was bad and the manager shouldn't be in the position he's in because he's horrible and bad for business. Not once did he try to fix the situation or make it better. That's how you...
Read moreOnly giving 1 star because I have to in order to rate and this matter needs to be posted. Please, please be diligent when using your credit card. Although food was ok ( I only get fired fish because the fresh seafood is not fresh)....waitress behind bar did not return my credit card. I tired to tell her after I realized and she said you put it in your purse I seen you. I emptied whole purse multiple times as she really tried to push the point that I must have forgot. I asked her to run the tape back and she took some time but came out and somehow showed me on her phone. We watched the play back multiple times and she kept fast forwarding it quickly during that frame as she handed me the receipt with no credit card and I signed. In my mind I kept saying why did she dip so quickly its just me and 1 other customers but I quickly realized and had them go get her...we watched multiple times and my credit card is only in video as I handed it to her on top of the original receipt before the receipt where you can add a tip.
At this point all I could do as a professional woman to a woman with no regard to others and herself because I clearly could have involved authorities was to look her in the eye calmy say well I will just freeze it...and said well nobody using it today.....With me realizing so quickly she didn't get the chance to scam as she thought she would. I now regret actually giving...
Read moreAfter a long festival weekend, we were looking for a hearty and delicious meal. We stumbled across this seafood boil place (it sounded amazing, but we were a little hesitant since we are from the West Coast and are used to fresh, quality seafood).
Our server was absolutely amazing and accommodating (it was only her 2nd day on the job). She was attentive, kind, and hospitable.
The food was incredible. It hit the sweet spot for our group of 4 and we all agreed there wouldn't have been a better spot for us to eat. We were in heaven. We ordered lemon pepper fries, chicken wings (great unique sauce options!!), and 2 boils with the pier 11 sauce (SO flavorful!!) The accompaniments (corn, potato, and egg) were delicious and were HEFTY quantities. The seafood (dungeness crab, scallops, shrimp, clams) tasted fresh, tender, and was great quality all around. The drinks were SO tasty and packed a PUNCH (pina colada, zombie, margerita) and had generous alcohol content but tasted delicious.
Overall, we got serious BANG for our buck here!! If we end up in Columbus again, we will for sure be back!! It was a meal...
