I give them a 4 out of 5 stars because the waitress staff was very very pushy. We had a meeting with our business and we were still waiting on people to show up but we had already eaten and our waitress kept coming over that we were waiting on some other people to show up. I can understand that you are trying to get people in and out but when you have customers who are planning on tipping and making it worth your while with a party of eight trying to conduct a business meeting in an empty restaurant and you keep coming over and bothering us, it's not very professional. If you plan on having a business meeting do not go here. The waitress staff will try to Usher you out as soon as you pretty much sit down. The food however was very very good I had four plates of food and a thing of dessert they have a chocolate fountain for the ice cream and bananas. That was very yummy. But my favorite was the cold seafood salad that had a variety of different things inside of it. And it was very spicy with jalapenos and I love you I had two helpings of it. This place is better suited for 2 to 4 people to dine together unless you must have a larger party but keep in mind they will harass you until you decide to just go I would have given you five stars on here if you were more polite to...
Read moreGrand Buffet in Wichita Falls is an older building and restaurant. It is clean, in appearance but the aged carpeting probably isn't as clean as you would think. There's a wait staff to bring out drinks to the table and take away dirty dishes and deliver the food ticket. Leaving a tip seems unnecessary as all those jobs could be nearly eliminated by paying upon entry and having a self service drink station. Freshly cleaned plates are near the buffets, so having a busser would be more effective and not have to have someone come.to the table for drinks and buffet tickets. This is a buffet and not a full service restaurant. A table server isn't required, really.
The food is fresh and hot. They serve a large variety of Chinese food, seafood, and sushi. My complaint is that the proteins (chicken and beef) are a bit tough and rubbery. The seasonings are delightful. All the staff are pleasant but a bit formal and businesses-like, as is the custom of the Asian culture. Since we're in Texas, a more welcoming, friendly attitude is okay because it isn't a restaurant in Asia. I don't go here often as there are other places in Wichita Falls with better quality and flavorable Chinese food. I went here with a small group of women that chose...
Read moreAs a buffet, the quality depends on how busy they are. If the parking lot isn't fairly full, I don't stop unless they just opened. The more people eating, the more often the food needs to be replenished, and therefore the fresher the food on the buffet tends to be. Even when it's not crowded, the Mongolian Grill is a good source of fresh cooked food, though you may take a few tries before you find the right combination of ingredients to make your perfect dish. The sushi is not top rate, but quite nice for the price, especially since you can see them hand rolling it right behind where it is. My favorites here are too numerous to count. As such, I don't go here very often; I worked hard to get my weight down, and this place could reverse that progress easily. If you don't fancy an all you can eat, or don't have time for a sit down and dine experience, they offer to go plates, which you prepare yourself, then pay for based on weight. I really do like this place, but there is one thing to be aware of: When you bring larger groups, an automatic gratuity is added to the bill. I find it annoying because it's lower than I tip, and complicates the math on the...
