Sadly, I came here during lobster fest, which is my least favorite of their seasonal offerings. I know, coming to a place called Red Lobster when i dont love lobster seems stupid, but it was Valentines Day, thus ladies' choice. Other than the menu being very lobster oriented, everything was great. I do love the food here, though I prefer to dine here during other promotions such as endless shrimp. She ordered the ultimate feast with Walt's favorite shrimp, shrimp scampy, Maine lobster tail, snowcrab cluster, French fries, and a loaded baked potato. I ordered lobster-topped stuffed flounder, loaded baked potato, and crispy brussle sprouts. We also had seafood-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and, of course, Cheddar Bay Biscuits. As far as the appetizer went, the cheese was melted down into the sauce. I've never had it brought to the table any other way, so I'm not sure if that's intentional. They were still good. She had never had them, and I let her have most of them. It's only eight stuffed mushroom caps from normal sized mushrooms. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits were, and always are, awesome. She tried a bit of my flounder and was less than impressed. I, on the other hand, loved it. I don't get flounder often, so I savored it. She absolutely would not try the crispy brussle sprouts, but I loved them. They are cut in half, sauced, and crisped, which makes them like a flavor explosion in your mouth. If you don't like brussle sprouts, you should probably steer well clear of them. The loaded baked potatoes were on the small side for a baked potato in Texas, not that that's a bad thing given how much food we were looking at. Overall, the potato was good, but by far the least spectacular thing on my plate. I tried a bit of her snowcrab, and it was perfectly cooked. I wouldn't know enough about lobster to critique it. I try it every so often to see if I find it appealing yet, but so far, my taste doesn't lean that way. I tried a frie, but what cab I say? It's French fries with seasalt; nothing special there. She carried out a small to go box, and we were both stuffed. The waitress was a bit busy, but tried her best to help us given how crowded they were. The thirty minute wait to be seated was also less than ideal, but that's what you get for going out on...
Read moreUsing my father’s profile: I had my 16th birthday here at Red Lobster with my dad. It had been by far the best dining experience I’ve ever had. So good that I’m actually leaving a written review for the first time. The food was excellent. I ordered the seafood broil while my father ordered something we’re too much in a food coma to recall (the pasta down below). He was picking at it even when super full and said at least five times how good it was! I also surprised myself my eating the entire broil without any help. The butter on it was nothing short of delicious. Meals aside, the most wonderful part of this experience was definitely the staff. They are all very friendly and funny people, as well as great with giving recommendations. This is no exception for our table’s waiter, Carlos, who never let the conversation get dull. Due to being seated by the kitchen, we could hear how he and the others brought light and fun into the restaurant from the singing that echoed amongst the clattering dishes. If that isn’t a telltale that the workers kept their environment wonderfully cheerful, I don’t know what else would be. Near the end of our time, I was given a birthday Sunday (first image attached) and quick “happy birthday” song. The pun and strawberry lobster made me smile so big it nearly hurt my face. With the addition of a signed birthday card, I could’ve cried happy tears on the spot. It’s an understatement to say that I left feeling genuinely appreciated, with a full belly, and even fuller heart. Thank you Red lobster and especially staff for this wonderfully sweet sixteen. I’ll be thinking about it for...
Read moreHave been going to Red Lobster forever, and the last year requesting backroom for several friends to gather in quiet and privacy; try to go about every 4 to 6 weeks. Each time we had the sweetest and most helpful servers.. Last week frozen pipe leaks and damage, so room still under repair. I was given this info and agreed we could sit at a round table main dining room, person I spoke with asked for name and pho, said she'd pass word right then to manager. Upon next day arrival, hostess had no information about reservation. This was little upsetting as we were given a rectangular table, (exactly what we did not want for being able to visit/hear with other end of table, but hostess doing her best..not faulting her that round table taken.) To make matters worse, when asked for garlic biscuits after our drinks arrived, was told matter of factly they would be brought out with salads. (OK, but never a wait before) When salads received, there was at least 5 min wait for bread! Most of group is retired so a NO on using their table credit card device, (&don't want to learn at this age) Server said watch her scan our cards and we will know next time so can do for ourselves. Another NO! When a paying cash friend received her change back, she was only given currency. Upon asking about her coins change, server stated she didn't like to carry coins, but a few moments later did in fact give another friends coins as well as currency. One suggested maybe it's time we seek out another restaurant. (Can we take previous...
