Well, everytime I used to come into town, I would love going to Jimmy's Diner and get a nice warm breakfast and I always have enjoy that until this time. The young lady that waited on me and my sister and my nephew. She was extremely slow and very disinterestedly in serving her table. I felt that this young lady is in the wrong business and should search out a different occupation. I felt that serving was not her Talent. And or she just didn't know how to fill up a coffee cup, or bring creamers or fill water glasses. She didn't communicate well to the table and was coming to the table quickly to take our order and then tell us that it was going to take a very long time for us to receive our food and in which it did. Of course the restaurant was extremely busy, as well. But, a good way to knows the tricks of the trade. Things like bring a picture to the table of water if you see the people drinking it fast. Bring a bowl of creamers if you see that they are using it fast. Make sure that there is a fresh pot of coffee, so that your clients will not be without coffee at any time. Bring condiments ahead of time, so that the customer does not have to request them from you. Especially if the person orders a burger. Also if the burger is not cooked properly you go to the kitchen and ask the cook to put a burger on the Fly, so that your customer that you are waiting on is not disappointed or having to wait, no matter who made the mistake. As I said, either Jimmy Dinner has lost its management team, and or hiring is a problem. That a good manager should be able to recognize a bad server and explain to her that this is not a job for her and not keep a bad employee and sacrifice your quality of service, just to...

I arrived at your restaurant around when you opened 610 615 I’ve sent in the back because I preferred the table after I had my 1st cup of coffee and asked a few moments to look at the menu. Seeing is it this has been my first time the waiter did not come back, or at least 30 to 40 minutes and I am not exaggerating I have no more coffee. Nobody asked me if everything was OK and I did not need 30 or 40 minutes to look over the menu when she came back she apologized that she had forgotten me back there, but there was another group there was getting coffee And everything they needed but I was not after she took my order. She still did not refill my cup of coffee. I did not get that refilled until she brought me my food. I ordered an omelette with hashbrowns and a side of gravy. The gravy was it is if it was yesterday because it was still cold. The omelette barely had anything in it. I do not understand why I paid $20 and even though the service was bad I still tipped her so altogether $25 For a meal that was very subpar. I see you have a lot of good reviews. I wish I had that experience considering I went when the store or if you want to call it restaurant was slow I should’ve had exceptional experience. I would give it another shot again, but I am not going to pay For a meal that I didn’t get a experience to get the first time if somebody would like to replace my meal I am more than happy to...

Started with the Tater Babies and was brought tater tots not wedges and had to ask for the gravy but was told they don't come with gravy so no problem or complaining kids and I went ahead and started eating them halfway through they brought gravy and apologized saying it does come with gravy but they gave us just a canned cream gravy not sausage gravy and it just wasn't good. I ordered a breakfast burger and the concept is good on paper but the execution was pretty far off. The burger patty was overcooked and dry the hashbrowns were overdone the egg was actually spot on and the bacon was undercooked. Wife had the cheeseburger and the patty was undercooked but Her fries were good. One of my little guys had kids pancakes and I'm fairly sure they had been sitting for quite a while they were cold and dry to the point that we broke them up with our hands because they weren't soft enough to cut easily with the fork or even the butter knife and my other little man loves mac and cheese which wasn't offered on the kids menu so we got it off of the regular menu and I usually try it when he orders because it's a staple for him anywhere we go and I hate to say but it was awful, he ate the bread crumbs off of the top and the bacon bits and that was it. Things it had going for it were the atmosphere is neat and the people were friendly but based on how our food was prepared we won't be...

I hadn't been to this restaurant in quite a while. I was on the east side, so I decided to stop in. My previous visits were pleasant and the food was good. How things have changed. I ordered the hamburger steak. The hamburger was way over cooked and didn't taste too good. The mashed potatoes had bits of potatoes that weren't fully cooked. Even the brown gravy wasn't very tasty. And finally, Jimmy's had been famous for their milkshakes. They would make them in a large tin cup, fill up a soda glass and had left over in the tin cup. Well I ordered my favorite chocolate milkshake with carmel. When it came, I instantly knew there was no carmel, and everyone knows you make a chocolate milkshake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Not with chocolate ice cream. Very lazy! Too make it even worse, there were small bits of chocolate mixed in that just ruined the texture for me. It's very sad at how the food quality has dwindled. If this is the new status quo, I don't know how they can stay in business. I will be very reluctant to return. One positive note was that the house salad with blue cheese dressing was very good.

We came into Jimmie’s from way out of town, and were treated like family! They were so friendly and nice, even when our group had to wait on a 4th person to show up after we were seated. Our waitress Cinnamon was one of the most personable and friendly people I have ever met. The burger that I had was the crown burger, and it was even better than I expected. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the taste reminded me of the burger sandwiches my grandmother used to make for me when I was younger. I also very much enjoyed the drink I got called the “Brown Cow.” It is a cola float with chocolate sauce, and was surprisingly delicious! I very much appreciated this experience, and would recommend it to anyone traveling through Kansas. Great food, great prices, and amazing customer service! Thank you for being a little slice of home away from home, Jimmie’s Diner!

A Wichita institution, Jimmie's Diner has a rich history that goes back decades and calls up the famous King's X mission. The Diner is family owned and has just opened a third location on the city's west side. Order any of the following: Bonjour breakfast, King's X cheeseburger, Alpine Omelette, Chicken and Noodles, King's X waffle, Chocolate Shake, fried apples, etc. Decor follows the classic, 1950s diner theme with table side jukeboxes and poodle skirt waitresses. Overall, they are selling smiles...once you walk into a Jimmie's Diner, you will see everyone smiling...and you will grin from ear to ear. FUN...GREAT FOOD...COMMITMENT to the community - the whole package at Jimmie's!
