I'm a native NYer & pizza is easily 1 of my favorite foods, but it has to be good. So someone suggested Pronto Pizza to me, they kept saying it was good like NY's pizza but I didn't believe it. So we got together & went to Pronto's. The men ( thank God for men) that work there were very professional, courteous, and greeted me with smiles ( I went in 1st while my car was being parked). I always ask what kind of cheese do you use to make your pizza, because I only eat mozzarella & only if it's on pizza! NO OTHER CHEESE EVER!!!!!! So the 1st plus is Pronto only uses mozzarella. Next I order 1 regular slice to sample taste, size, and flavor. Then according to the slice I decide if I'm ordering a whole pie. Well...... much to my delight that pizza was banging (I loved it)!!!!! One of the men was even nice enough to come from behind the counter & serve me my slice at the table I sat at. Pronto pizza is so good that not only did I order a pie to go, I ordered another slice for myself & my guest with root beer sodas. We truly enjoyed the pizza & service. The only thing I didn't like was not anything the staff could control. But I sat on the empty side of the room purposely because I enjoy privacy at all times. And these two old ladies decided that of all the empty seats in the place they just had to sit where my guest & I were. As annoying as it was to have one of them in my face & convo the entire time, it didn't diminish the pleasure of eating at Pronto's Pizza. Well done fellas!!! I was so impressed that I tipped them before I left, i usually don't tip unless the service & food are worth it. The slices are big just like in NY🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 thank you Pronto Pizza and very excellent gentlemen keep up the great work. 5 starts & I'm reccomending y'all to everyone. Very much...
Read morePronto Pizzeria near the square in Wilkes-Barre was incredible. I actually had my eyes on a few other shops but not much was open on a Monday night, so there I was, getting the run down on all the must-haves from a local. I ordered the following:
• Jamaican beef pattie (butterflied and salamandered with cheese) • Broccoli and ricotta (soft, pillowy ricotta; a good amount and crispy crust, ate almost like a calzone; broccoli was perfect, not too soft or tough) • Plain cheese thin crust (it looked light on sauce but it was like a crispy plain pizza hot pocket of goodness - incredible and actually hard to explain, but really good) • Grandma Sicilian (heated up and quartered the next day, pesto forward but cheesy enough) • Cowboy - Cheese steak with bacon, ranch and bbq sauce (visually appealing,...
Read moreOur first experience was delivery. The pizza was good enough that we ordered a second time for pickup. This is during a pandemic and the governor has said everyone must wear a mask. I entered to pick up a pizza. No employee wore masks. None of the other customers wore masks. As I stepped up to pay, I could easily reach across the counter with my credit card (I am not very tall). I asked where their masks were. They laughed. I asked again and the employee said they were all safe since they were behind the counter which was at least 6 feet from customers... Not, or else I could not possibly have passed him my card. Plus they were preparing our food with no masks or any other signs of protective equipment. We won't be back, the pizza wasn't worth...
