Hazel went above and beyond for me as a customer. First very kind & sweet when simply asking about my online order and receiving it. Happy demeanor and a “Sunny Day” attitude.
There was an incident, I spilled some of my coffee, and she was more than just helpful, more than just “here’s a new one”, she went above and beyond to make my day better by the way she treated me, as well as the way she handled the situation.
Every question I asked or statement I made was met with a genuine smile, and an intelligent, professional, and kind response.
I could go over the entire situation bit by bit, but it would be paragraph after paragraph of praise for this employee. She really turned my day in a better direction all because I spilled my coffee, and I reported it to the right employee.
I want to also mention all employees at this location have been kind. Not a single complaint. However she sticks out as the best Starbucks employee I’ve ever encountered. No, I wasn’t given a ton of free anything. She offered to make a new coffee (black dark roast) but I kindly declined because it was 1/5th that was spilled (my knee knocked the tall table) which I told her. I felt it wasntpppShe then offered a gift card with a few dollars for a new one. Again I declined. She insisted, and I said accepted it while thanking her. I told her I’d clean it, she said no she would. I insisted. She smiled said ok. I got napkins, began cleaning, looked up and there she was diligently helping me clean the table. I told her how much I appreciated it.
I know employees should and probably need to clean, but many employees would’ve allowed me to do it and not cared. She saw my danish got hit with some of my coffee and she offered another. I again said it was okay, I appreciated it though it wasn’t necessary. Now seeing how much coffee I spilled and the cup having coffee on the side she offered another coffee again, I again kindly declined.
I don’t want to take advantage. The table wasn’t stable because of the way it was standing on the tile when I sat down. My knee hit it, & spill. I wanted to report it & clean it. Instead I was offered service as if I was at this location everyday tipping a few dollars each day. I felt important. To Hazel, she was simply doing her job, and although I told her I don’t know if she or anyone else knows how extremely well she does her job. It wasn’t the gift card for a few dollars, it was how I was treated during what many employees would be aggravated over & would see as a disaster (a spill that gets everywhere - above/under table - floor - base - window sill-etc).
10 minutes later she left. I saw her walking out. End of her shift. So she had to deal with this while getting ready to end her shift (or lunch?).
I like the coffee at Starbucks. I like the food. It’s pricey but I’m a coffee lover. I go to many Starbucks, and some employees have been bad, some good, some great, but this woman was better than that. Furthermore this location has been the best location in terms of great employees, kind, and so forth although some customers I’ve encountered haven’t been the kindest to these employees.
So I decided to write this review before I left the location so I wouldn’t go to work, get busy and forget how great I felt leaving. Walking in I was very down. As I just said, leaving, I feel great.
There are many things one can take from this situation. A dozen, easily. But I’ll point out 2.
You never know when it will, or how big of a difference it will make in the life of a customer or a stranger by being kind and treating them as if they’re a great person too.
When things get bad, you’re facing a bad spill, just smile, and clean it up & keep on going (literally & figuratively speaking).
I took over 30 mins to write this on a busy day. That’s how much this interaction meant for me today & maybe for my week. It’s been a rough week, and I won’t...
Read moreI was belittled by a barista named what I was told Pajab. I am not sure of her name though because she had her name tag wiped off and refused to tell me her name, I had to ask the other barista for it.I went in to load money onto my Starbucks account, which I’ve never had an issue with before today. I was trying to put money so I could get my stars credit. However I was curtly told I can’t do that. I now have to order a drink if I want to reload my card. So I tried to swipe my card to pay and got yelled at. Apparently I’m not supposed to swipe my card when it shows a final total and please swipe payment card in the screen. She rudely said “you swipe when I tell you to, not when it says.” Then I was charged $25 to reload my Starbucks card and then she told me I had to use my Starbucks card to pay for the drink again. So an intended $20 purchase became $30. Then she asked the other barista, nametag said G, if she could make my drink. I politely asked the other barista, who was making all the drinks since I arrived, to make mine. As to avoid receiving spit in my drink from Pajab. I intended to order three drinks but then decided it was best to go to another Starbucks for the remaining drinks to avoid having a malicious and aggressive individual make my drinks. Finally, as I was leaving I asked G for the other girls name and she came over and started to glare and point at me, in response I left. I now know to avoid this Starbucks as to avoid an intolerable...
Read moreThe best Starbucks I've been to in a loooooooong time! I don't usually do a lot of reviews on chains, but this was all-around, a perfect experience. I got a Sumtra with a shot of espresso, and my wife got a sugar-free vanilla latte hot. They were absolutely perfect! I was there in the afternoon on Monday, June 9th. I got great when I walked in by both baristas. I got an additional thank-you when I added a tip. Drinks came out perfectly. Many other locations struggle with my wife's drink order because it is difficult to blend in the right way. We had been traveling all day, and I almost didn't go in when I pulled up and noticed they didn't have a drive-thru. I'm so glad I decided to stay. Can't say it enough, great experience! It's nice to go somewhere with great service and job knowledge. Yes, I love Starbucks, and I go every chance I get. Best one I've...
