After the disappointment of Rebel Ramen being closed, a wonderful meal was still found at Al Chu's sushi. The menu had a nice selection of rolls. I went with my favorite, a Philly roll (I'm a sucker for salmon with cream cheese).
It took a small while to receive our order, as the sushi was rolled fresh to order. I didn't mind one bit.
When we received our order, the fish was plump and seemed nice and fresh. The avocados were in the right ripeness, and the eel sauce was great.    Read moreAl Chuâs Sushi, located inside the DECO food hall in Wilmington, has quickly become my favorite spot for sushi. The quality is consistently excellent â the food is always fresh, and the service is always great.
I especially recommend Alâs Signature Roll (fried shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, crab stick, and eel sauce) â itâs packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. Whether youâre grabbing a quick lunch or looking for something satisfying and fresh, Al Chuâs never disappoints....

I loved sitting at Al's sushi bar when he was formerly at Mikimoto's and I always wondered where he went because I've never had sushi as delicious as his signature rolls. Well, it's been at least 15 years since I had a roll from the former restaurant and I've been everywhere trying to find ANY roll that could touch Al's Signature and California Sweet Dream.... I finally got downtown to DECO after seeing Al on the news....I am back in sushi heaven which is wherever Al is! I even brought my 8 year old who agreed....best sushi EVER. Al, I really appreciate you and your staff and...
