CheeseSmith — Restaurant in Wilmington

I'm only giving 2 stars because I have previously had some good food and experiences here. This location doesn't seem to care. They messed up my order and I didn't check it until I was back to my office. I called and asked should I drive back 20 minutes to have this fixed? She said she would credit me fully bc it was burnt and not as ordered, and I have food allergies. I said are you sure and they said yes. I was credited $4. Not the first issue with them at this location burning my food or getting it wrong but generally it is close enough that i can still eat it. Basically wasted $29 on 2 sandwiches I couldn't eat. Be honest next time. Do not offer a full refund if you are not giving one because then I wouldve driven back the 20 minutes and had you remake your mistake. REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE LANDFALL...

Placed (and already paid for) an order for pickup so I can grab and go during my lunch break, when I went to pick it up I walked in at the same time as another guest but went to the counter (the end for pickup orders) first but I guess whoever walked in behind me was a friend of the cashier so the new order was rang up before I can get my pickup order. That would have been no problem had they not started to have a full conversation and catch up with each other while I was just standing at the other end of the counter. My food was ready and waiting for me. Eventually another employee came out and I was helped after they had to discuss some pickles in the food window. What a great find! We visited this place while traveling through Wilmington just on a whim and it was amazing. It's located at the far opposite end of the row of shops from Food Lion. The service was fantastic. Quick and very friendly. But the food was amazing! Definitely some of the best grilled sandwiches we've ever had. And the Parmesan fries were outstanding! The sandwich portions are very generous and kind of on the heavy side. So I would recommend splitting a sandwich with another person and then splitting an order of fries.
