IstanBulls Hookah Lounge — Restaurant in Wilmington

After arriving home and sinking into the potato size spot I’ve made in a +3 month old sectional already; I gazed at the sandman stealing my girlfriend away into a nicotine induced slumber. Her words still reverberating between my ears, “This is the best hookah I’ve ever had!”.

To keep things 2018; Tonight unfolded around searches and deciphered google reviews. After a delicious meal and a bottle of lychee sake in downtown Wilmington, my date and I needed sanctuary. We needed a place to absorb our evening and of course hookah. We have been to enough hookah lounges to acquire a faint since of the desired ambience being offered by each one. With the assurance of google we set the coordinates to Instabull.

Immediately upon arrival, we were helped and assured that if any questions arose they would be answered. Plenty of options to sit, some offering views to the games one of which was on a projector. The Hookah and other equipment was top notch. I have never had an owner or employee change my coals for me (Multiple times) throughout my now approaching two hour visit. The beer and wine selection was not extravagant, however the options were well thought out and truly fit the Instabull brand. As we puffed away on blueberry muffin and munched down on some baklava (actual food); My girlfriend and I were transported to a place that exceeded our preconceived expectations of what hookah can be. As she and I excavate the tip of this ice burg we discovered; I leave you with this. This is not a review. I genuinely enjoyed this evening and look forward to future visits to Instabull. I went here for my birthday and my party loved this place. It is the place to smoke IMO and after going to other hookah bars around town, this is the cleanest, most releaxing hookah bar in Wilmington. The owners are very friendly and gave me and my party tea on the house for my birthday. I will most definitely come back. The atmosphere in this establishment is laid back and the music is great, but it is not so loud that you can't talk to your friend. The smoothies were fresh and the baklava were delicious. The attention to detail in everything the owners did such as their brand name napkins was amazing. It is a little more expensive compared to other hookah bars in town, however, it is worth the money because the hookahs seemed new and all of the hookahs were authentic Khalil Mamoon Hookahs. My wife and I moved to Wilmington in May from the Louisville area, which has a plentiful amount of hookah bars. When we moved here we were disappointed in the the fact that the only selection was either a dive bar or a nightclub to go to and smoke Hookah. When we saw Istanbulls was opening we were super excited and we were not disappointed in the least! This place is amazing. It is super relaxing, and the hookahs and authentic Turkish desserts were fantastic. It was the first time I'd ever tried Turkish coffee and I loved it. Not only is the atmosphere perfect for relaxation and just chilling out with your friends over coffee/tea and conversations, but the service is some of the best we've had since moving here.
