Although the food was good, I left this place feeling like I'd been conned.
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day and purchased expensive tickets for their "Bollywood Party with Special Valentine's Dinner included" The restaurant advertises itself as being high end/fine dining; given this advertising and the prices, I had certain expectations about the experience that would be provided.
The "special dinner" ended up being the smallest buffet I've ever seen. The buffet was basically Indian food (with a slight twist) but didn't even include basics like rice or naan. No drinks were provided. Not even tea. There was no desert. No table service. The dishes provided were mini plastic plates and plastic silverware.
The "Bollywood Party" consisted of what was essentially three talented karaoke singers who had well trained voices, but there were no instruments, no costumes, no dancing, no atmosphere. Just 3 people singing atop recordings of Bollywood music standing behind a wrinkled plastic covered folding table. There was no showmanship of any kind. It looked and felt tacky and cheap.
This "special romantic event" took place in a bar. There was nothing particularly special about the atmosphere of this bar except they have fancy chandeliers. It certainly didn't feel high-end or remotely like a fine dining establishment or experience.
Since our "special dinner" didn't include any beverages, we ordered drinks from the bar. The bartender was completely overwhelmed. The drinks we ordered were fine, but again, nothing special and quite expensive.
To top it off, it turns out that buying the expensive tickets wasn't even necessary to go to this "event." Not only did they not even bother to check our tickets, lots of people in the bar with us and the singers were given menus and weren't confined to food from the mini buffet. Only the fools like us who bought the tickets for the "special dinner" had to make due with the mini buffet and no service.
There are lots of delicious Indian food restaurants in the region. This place sets expectations with their advertising and high prices, which they didn't even come close to meeting.
This is the biggest disappointment in a dining experience I've had in a very long time, and it cost about $90 per person for the mini buffett and 2 drinks each.
We left feeling like suckers.
I am giving them 3 stars instead of 1 because what little food they did...
Read moreAmbiance was beautiful! Server & busser was phenomenal! Leaving this review off of management alone. You can clearly tell this establishment is new and doesn’t know how to deal with customers and mess ups on the business’ behalf.
It was my first time there and I ordered lamb chops. Our server asked how I would like them cooked and the options were medium rare or medium well which I thought was weird because there’s five different temperatures. I told her I would like them medium. The first time my lamb chops came out they were overcooked and well done. I sent them back to be remade. The next time they came out undercooked and just rare. I sent them back for a second time and requested that they just cook it an additional two minutes on each side & when the server bought it back for now the THIRD time they were overcooked yet again. I tried to just go ahead and eat them because I didn’t wanna send them back for a fourth time. I couldn’t eat it because it was so tough from being overcooked and at this point the only thing I ate from the meal was my fries (my asparagus was cold as well) which the server said was only $6 I requested she speak to the manager or invite him over to speak to us to get the meal taken off and only be charged for the fries. He insisted all he could do was offer me 50% off of my meal which meant I was paying $14 for fries only. I didn’t feel like this was enough being that I did not eat it at all and you guys messed up on my meal three times. He sent all communications through the server and did not once come over to apologize or speak directly to us. He then threatened to call the cops if we didn’t pay for what we were charged at that point if I was going to be charged regardless, I wanted to at least eat what I was paying for so I requested for the lamb chops to be remade now a fourth time at that point, he decided to just take it off the check completely, which should’ve been done from the start. This was very unfortunate because the place was beautiful and the server and host/busser was sooo nice! I was even in the process of making a TikTok but they quickly got ruined thanks to management. Definitely won’t be back. The threat for the cops was a little extreme, uncalled for and...
Read moreMy 1st experience was a friend's birthday party!
So, I was on the reserved tables/bar side. I can only give this review on at this time.
The food was absolutely delicious 😋 and I will certainly order again the next time i make it to this establishment.
●Pros: •The Buffalo Cauliflower was plentiful with just the right heat and tender. •I also enjoyed the crab cake sliders on mini toasted brioche buns with the perfect amount of a very tasty spread. •the DJ was absolutely incredible and KEPT the crowd on the dance floor. •the photographer was capturing ALL of the angles.
●Cons: Now, the bar service was EXTREMELY overwhelmed for that night. The wait time was ridiculous. I NEVER received my drink after an hour, I decided that it was a sign that I NEEDED to be dry for that night. ●Side note: I DON'T even drink!! I was just celebrating with a friend.
• there's a $10 cover at the door on the lounge side. •the decor and ambiance were quite inviting. •the Singapore noodles 🍜. It was a bad night for this dish. The noodles were uncooked and hard, and they were stuck together. I totally wasted $25 on that dish. It was a hectic night for staff.
(Now, on the restaurant side, I noticed a monkey hanging from the vine or something! That was kind of weird! Maybe someone will explain.)
Let me back up! I was sitting at the front waiting for a friend to arrive. I saw a birthday party come in with a reservation for a party of 10. They waited for approximately 30minutes or so and was NEVER served... which caused them to leave the restaurant. The birthday girl was very upset about that horrible experience. The service was not what was expected, and that night, it showed for those guests who made a reservation for a special day.
•the place is way too crowded to have and ALL Zodiac birthday party. It should be a limit of honorees wach night. Maybe (4) four parties the most and their guests. Beyond (5) five, it's entirely too congested. And unsafe,...
