Pinos Pizza — Restaurant in Wilson

Small little place, wasn't what I was expecting when I walked in based on other reviews. There's not a ton of seating, but it's comfortable.The drink choices were typical, some soda can options, and bottled juices and water from what I remember. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and easy going. When I asked for a slice of white pizza, he told me they don't make just slices, but he would make me a small white pizza (small wasn't listed on the menu, so I'm not sure if this is a really nice favor or an example of good product knowledge). Either way it was great! Ricotta cheese that was soft and lots of gooey mozzarella cheese with just enough basil for flavor, and a garlicky white alfredo sauce. This was one of those pizzas where you have to cut the cheese strands away because it's just so gooey and delicious. I only planned on eating some, but ended up only leaving once slice because it was just so good. My mom got the new york roll, with chunks of moist chicken, spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella. This thing was huuuggeee. And the marinara sauce to dip it in was super fresh and tasty. I dipped the crust of my pizza in it. The meatball sub was good, the meatballs were a little bland but still moist, but the sauce more than made up for it. The fries were good, hot and fresh with some seasoning salt on them. This food was so unexpectedly good for a place right off the interstate, next to a gas station and a hotel. The service was fast, friendly, the place was cute and clean, and the food...

So we got off to a little bit of a rough start. The women who took the order clearly didn't listen to anything we said so when I got there my food was completely wrong! Not even a little bit of what I asked for. Any ways the 2 gentleman working there offered to fixed my order after explaining to him that it was wrong. I also realized when I got there that they have coupons on there menus for free stuff with pizza combos so don't over look those. He also honored the coupon! So thank you for that. I'm from Mass so to find good food down here is hard! We just eat and cook different! I can say there food was great!! Everything was very tasty!! So well worth all the BS! We ordered 3 different hot sandwiches — chicken gyro, Italian sub, and the Philly cheesesteak special. Everything came out fast fresh snd hot!!! The chicken gyro was generous and fresh. The seasonings were very savory but not overpowering and the yogurt sauce looked recently homemade. The itslian sub had salami ham, cheese lettuce tomato and onions and a delicious dressing. The Philly cheesesteak had mushrooms peppers and onions. The sub roll was crunchy on the outside and not soggy. Fries were made just for our order.
