I visited this location with my coworker on April 19, 2019 during our lunch. We were excited to try something new. It started off well as the waitress took our order and then a bit after I think a manager or someone a level up from the waitress came by to take our orders. I told both of them that's our first time here, but that we also have an hour lunch. I asked if the wait time would be long and they assured me it would not be as it wasn't packed. This happened another time where the waitress asked us something and then the guy came right after her and asked us the same question. We were happy that the employees were so attentive, but it did not turn out in our favor.
We ordered two sandwiches and two appetizers along with our drinks. We only received the single order of fries and drinks during our hour wait. The restaurant was not packed and the waitress had given us the bill to pay without us even receiving our meals! This was about 30min into being at the restaurant. For about 45 minutes after, the waitress continued to come back to our table to say that the chef didn't put in the order, or that they're putting it in the oven now, or that they're packing it to go. It had already been a full hour and we ready to leave, but she said the food was coming right out and she disappeared into the back before we could say we were leaving. We saw other guest who had come in well after us with parties of more than two receive the exact meals we requested. Right as we were leaving, the waitress came out with the food, but stated she couldn't give it to us until a manager came to clear the transaction. We had seen three managers there during our wait and one had commented on the bunny ears I had on that day, so I don't know how all of them disappeared and were nowhere to find.
I am extremely disappointed that I had to wait in a restaurant that was not packed and then be teased with the already made food. I had even ordered food for another coworker to-go and received that food, minus the drink I paid for, before the check for our food was given. I don't plan on returning to this location. I even paid for parking...
Read moreOne of my favorite go to meals as a child was of course Grilled Cheese. As I got older I added a cup of Tomato Basil soup to that go to menu. Yesterday I finally had a chance to visit and I was just like a little girl perched at the tip of my seat excited to see the grown up version of My GO TO MEAL… I ordered the Broadway and it was delicious. I think what made the experience even more gratifying was the happy welcome when I walked in. I was of course caught up in taking my pictures for the review and each time I was approached by the staff I giggled as I was either snapping a picture or getting a call talking about how I was excited to finally be at the location. The funny part is I left happy and excited to have eaten. Later on that evening we went to a Halloween party down the street and about 1:00 in the morning we ended up at the same location. Normally I don’t return in less than 12 hours maybe 12 days… so for me to have the same feeling and enjoy another moment here fulfilled my love for grilled cheese and tomato bisque… staff was busy and although the morning team was amazing the night team was courteous but not as friendly as before. At the end our waiter referenced was it better than the Broadway earlier? I realized he was paying attention but with so many people who were either dressed in costume, a few drinks in and no seats available, he was just busy and deserved the same accolade as the morning waiter. Just for the record I had the Wall Street Grinder.. so in fairness the Broadway was a 10 for me but the Wall Street Grinder 9.75 because I was exhausted from dancing… To make sure… I am planning another trip back soon as I am dreaming (literally dreamed) of the bacon lollipops… we added fries too last night but the couple next to me ordered theirs with all the works and I almost got the urge to reach over and grab a piece of theirs.
For now this place is delectable! And I am planning to bring my adult kids with me next time as I feel the years of grilled cheese meals at home just went to...
Read moreThis place is in an awesome location. It’s on Wilton Drive. We went a couple times during the week. The first night we went. The service was so awesome and I don’t know if it was the manager on duty or the person that was assistant they were both like really, really nice. We went late at night like around 8 PM. They were super helpful very attentive and they kept asking us were we OK? We were picking up an order that we ordered there for takeout we went back the next day . There was a lady there and she was like super weird and she kept staring at us and stuff and she kept asking my boyfriend was going to order, but he had already ordered, which was weird because she took our order Anyway we won’t probably be back for a while because of the horrible atmosphere we had the last time but if we ever do go back, it won’t be in the daytime. It’ll probably be at night because she probably won’t be there anyway all in all the food is awesome always been consistently awesome And it taste really good. You taste good and the tomato soup is so good. I think the lady that works in the daytime a little bit more personality and not feel like she’s so uptight, and that the customers bother her smile a little or take some pointers from the guys who work at night because they were super nice and super friendly and super professional and super attentive. The lady had short hair if we do decide to go back we’ll probably go to the Boca one. Yes, it’s super far, but I wouldn’t want to experience what I experienced the last time at...
