China Wok — Restaurant in Winchester

This establishment is selling your information without your consent, it is a lawsuit for them waiting to happen.

I picked up my brand new phone I ordered from Amazon at Staples next door, I got to the car and installed my sim card for my brand new phone plan... I decided to make a call to test it out so I looked around and right behind me was China Wok, so I decided to call them and order a lunch special.

Three days after visiting this establishment and just from calling in to place an order, the first number I dailed ever, and I am receiving SPAM texts to my brand new phone and new phone service account already!

Thankfully I paid in store and did not enter my credit card info into their website or prepay over the phone, who knows who else that they are selling your number/info to simply just because you called their store to place an order.

The food was good... The "Homemade" ice tea is Walmart tea mix with that gross artificial lemon flavor (False Advertising)

I never checked a box or granted permissions to receive Marketing, Promotions or Text messages from this establishment, I simply called them ONE time to place an order and paid in-store like anyone would normally do.

If I recieve one more spam text to my phone from this establishment then I will file a report with the county... and don't worry, I won't even have to hire a lawyer, the county will persue it on their own and you will be fined severly.

REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM YOUR SYSTEM AND DO NOT TEXT AGAIN.

I have ordered from here several times about 3 years ago. Just recently was our first time back. Usually we enjoed the food and talk about how good it is, but this time... Saying we were disappointed is a huge understatement.

There was little sauce and flavor to our meals. Was very bland. The crab Rangoon was over cooked. The fried dumplings were made with a thick dough and looked old. They had a weird meat blend that was dense, bland, and looked like a stool. Was not appealing at all. The egg rolls were over cooked and the insides was bland as well. Just felt like we were only eating coleslaw blended cabbage.

We had both white rice and "fried" rice. White rice was as you could expect. The fried rice was really disappointing. Large diced onion was the majority of the rice with frozen peas and carrots incorporated in it. And very few bean sprouts. Seasoning on it was bland as well. No real flavor other than oil in everything.

Will I come back? Maybe. But it won't be until far into the future. Til then, I guess I'm in the market for a new Chinese restaurant...

I placed an order by phone and picked it up in about 5 minutes. They were quick and polite. They are currently taking orders for takeout only. There are only a few chairs for customers to sit and wait. They have not updated their menu prices as they are generally $3 or more higher than listed price per item. The food was very good but not excellent. They did not prompt the question as to how spicy I wanted the sauce. The vegetables were not overcooked and had a slight crunch of freshness.
