firstly, i want to say that the beef pho is very good. such flavorful broth and lots of noodles/meat. unfortunately, that’s the only good thing i can say about this place. the atmosphere is uninviting, dirty & just plain gross. from the moment we walked in, we were engulfed in the stench of dirty dish rags. no one said hello & there was no sign to seat ourselves so we walked up the front desk where i noticed my shoes were sticking to the floor. the waitress handed us two (also dirty) menus and we seated ourselves at the nearest table. waitress never came to take our order so my partner got up and told her what we wanted. she did not bring water until our food came out and the water cups were only a little more than half full. we thought that was a little bit odd. as previously said, the pho is really good. we were just about finished with our meals & the waitress never checked on us, so we had time to really look around at the restaurant. it seemed like every square inch of this place was filthy. holes in the wall, food(?) & stains on the floors & the dirtiest baby chair i’ve ever seen in my life. i’ve worked in restaurants since i was 14 & never seen such conditions. i also noticed there was floating debris in both of our cups. needless to say, we did not drink any water.
in short, the food itself (beef pho) was very good but i cannot ignore the sanitary issues & absence of service. i've worked in a hole-in-the-wall pho restaurant before so i understand the very simple customer service approach that many asian restaurants take, but this was an awkward and uncomfortable experience to say the least. despite the good food, you can’t help but wonder about the sanitary issues in the kitchen if the dining room is in...
Read moreThe Pho was XoXo. Not many options to choose from. Been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants, and the Pho doesn't taste like the ones I had. Waited for our smoothies for an hour and got served when we were already done eating- only to find out that they didn't have the flavor we ordered. I don't understand why they did not tell us beforehand:-( The coconut smoothie didn't taste real coconut. It tasted more like milk and coconut powder flavor. I'm from Southeast Asia, we grow coconut so, I know how it should taste. The dining area is tight and not too inviting. It needs more interior fixing to make it pretty. If you just want to get a warm noodle soup on a cold winter day, then you could come here. You will be served. But if you're looking for a good Vietnamese Pho to share with friends and family while having fun.. this...
Read moreMy family and I went in a bit skeptical because it was a tiny place with about a handful of tables. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and we were told that the owner just took it over 3 weeks prior. The menu has pho, boba teas, smoothies and they have specials listed on the chalk board. Let me tell you we were very impressed! One of the best pho we've had in Missouri. The eggrolls were delicious as well! We will be back for pho! Super friendly and delicious! A must try! We are from California (where the selection of food is amazing) and have been here for about 4 years and have tried many pho restaurants here. If your looking for ambiance this isn’t the place, but if you want a good bowl of pho this...
