Edit: We visited the store a second time and the chicken was not good at all. We then went a third time after a while and it was much better! They’re definitely improving and listening to customers. Love the Saj bread and their garlic is perfect. Cole slaw needs more love. Will keep going there!
We were super excited to try this place, it was descent overall. They were out of saj bread so we got pita. Beef shawarma was good, so was the sauce. Chicken shawarma was super dry, needs more garlic sauce. A lot more. The garlic sauce itself was delicious, not overly garlicky, perfect texture. The yalangi was good. Kibbeh was pretty good and a good size too. Falafel was dry and dense. Service was great, they were super nice even took the stuff out to the car. Fries were okay, didn’t leave you wanting more. Overall not bad, lots of room for improvement. I’ve definitely had better having traveled a lot and tried so much shawarma. If they take the feedback customers give and work on things they...
Read moreA new Shawerma place opens near by. So we just decided to try it out. Checked the menu online and called to place an order “one chicken Shawerma, one beef and the appetizer plater” We wanted the saj Brest but sadly they were out so we chose the tortilla instead and wasn’t a bad choice specially after it’s been on the grill. And that was the beef Shawerma which was one of the best I’ve had in a while. The other Shawerma was chicken and we got it on pita. That one was full of flavor, and the thoomeya(garlic sauce ) was well balanced. Finally the player where we choose 5 salads/dips and we had (hummus, taziki, yelenji, tahini and Arabic salad) we wanted the baba ghanooj but they were out of that too. Yelenji was the best thing in the platter, hummus was ok(nothing special ) the salad needed more flavor on them. What surprised me is that when I arrived home I didn’t have any bread...
Read moreThe food was good! (Very impressed with the falafel & fries pita wrap--yum!) The staff was friendly! My one concern was with the ambiance... It's visually very pleasant! But there were no high chairs for our little one (...yet! They just opened, so hopefully they will continue to grow in areas like this!), and weirdly, for the majority of our visit, it smelled intensely like cigarettes. The smell seemed to dissipate over the course of our visit (but unfortunately, it's possible we just went nose-blind), and I don't know what the specific source of the smell was (maybe people on break in the back and a weird ventilation issue?), but the smell was strong enough to hang on our clothes and even make my nose and throat feel dry afterwards...We might just do takeout next time and see if the air ventilation and seating options have changed, because again, the food is...
