Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Winchester

Arrived here for the first time. Our visit was pleasant, could have been a tad better experience, but I will get to that shortly.

First off... I want to commend the staff for the friendliness, helpfulness, and their patience for new customers.

Second... The menu has a lot of options, but its very detailed, and for a couple of the items I had questions about, the staff answered them and even gave great suggestions.

My wife ordered the Blimey Limey, which was a strawberry, pineapple, orange juice & lime blend. And, I ordered the Island Green, it had spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana. Both smoothies were fresh and weren't sugary. The flavors melded together really well and nothing about it was overwhelming. The thing I appreciated most about the smoothies... they were all the same size. Sometimes its nice not to have to contemplate size options. This makes the process faster and less complicated.

The other thing we ordered, was the Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread. Now, just to let you know. If you order something like this from their menu, bring your appetite. The flatbread was HUGE and STUFFED! Loads of grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes, romaine, cheddar; all with a lite ranch that wasn't smothering it. For as much as there was, it was really well balanced. And, we really liked that. Most places give you something small and petite, but not here. This was definitely a meal in and of itself. For the price, I'm not complaining.

Now, for my complaint. The location isn't an appropriate spot for this place. This place obviously drums up ALOT of business, as the line was from the side of the building, across the front of the very small shopping strip, and out onto the road - coming from two different directions. Though it was dinner time and people were getting off work, the traffic to this place was holding up customers of the others stores. Even the customers that went inside TSC were waiting in the parking spots to leave. Ourselves, we waited about 20 minutes to get to order but once you order, it was only a 5 minute wait to make our payment and get our order.

With that aside, this is a great place, that has great menu options, great flavors, and incredible staff. We will definitely be coming back as regulars. Even if we live...

The Tropical Smoothie Café has fantastic smoothies, the Café is cute and beach themed and the staff are super sweet. They have tables and chairs so you can sit and enjoy your smoothie --the drive through is busy but the inside is quiet.

All food is made to order. If you want a wrap, they make it the spot. You can swap out the turbinado sugar for Splenda, you can have any wrap made into a bowl and if you are picky about an ingredient because it is made to order, they will accommodate your request--

All of the smoothies are good, you can not go wrong -- our family is working through the menu.

The app has great rewards if you download it, more discounts if you do the survey on the receipt -- it makes a nice little date night for healthy food.

My absolute favorite thing about TSC is that it right next to Planet Fitness, so as a reward for working out, I can get a smoothie -- so motivating!!! This is a picture of the Detox Green smoothie, I love it. I have one every morning. That's why I'm all about the discounts listed above. Addictive!!

p.s. I see the other reviews below everyone has a complaint, I do go every morning and have not had these issues. Bad service is few and far between. When the service takes a bit they apologize, they have a sign about staffing issues and if you are in a hurry you can order on the app or if you walk in you jump...

Winchester location is terrible. I gave them a pass on the last two visits due to the current environment. But this third time has sealed it for me, I would rather go to Front Royal get my order and be home in the time it takes this place to do it. It took a hour and a half...in the drive through. Took forever to place the order and get to the window. Only three car lengths, the girl gave us the order and without looking in the bag I informed her that our smoothie was missing. She closed the window without saying a word. 20 minutes later she came back with a really watered down, no flavor icee. While she was gone we looked in the bag and saw they forgot one of our sandwiches. When I told the same girl she rolled her eyes, not one word, closed the window. 25 minutes later she came back with our missing sandwich and told us how she had to make it herself. During all this time people would leave the line before ordering, they were not busy in the lobby and you could count 5-6 people in the back where the drive through window was. We also saw the same girl who was supposedly cooking our sandwich dancing in the back multiple times. The past two times were long but nothing like this, and the girl needs customer service training. I can't believe any management were on...
