Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Windcrest

In lost for words for this establishment.. I try to give the benefit of the doubt but it got worse each time . Went over at 12:00ish tables were dirty me and my spouse didn’t care . We just wanted to eat . The server with dreads took care of us. I asked for chicken sandwhich with ranch and wanted that spicy sauce on the side .fast forward food came out but my sandwhich had the sauce on it nor did it have the ranch . Once again benefit of the doubt the waiter with dreads stated oh I’m sorry you want a side of ranch . I told him no I didn’t want the sauce on chicken . He said ok I’ll take that .. also I asked for sweet tea he brought me lemonade instead of telling me they tossed out the sweet tea . Besides the fact . my girls food was fine .. as I’m waiting he came over and said he took the meal off .. I asked him so I’m not getting a remake. ? He said kitchen closed what do you want me to do ? . I couldn’t believe he told me that . I asked for a Manager and told her how I worked in the food industry and how he was behaving very unprofessional she said this her first day she understands and that she will turn the fryer back on for me . As my wife’s almost done the manager comes with a to go box with my sandwhich in it .. I told her I never asked for a to go I wanted to eat with my girl .. I felt they just wanted me out the store .. so I apologize to corporate but I just walked out . And told her I’m not paying for this ghetto unprofessional customer service I received from Apple bees .. I just wanted to eat with my girl and couldn’t do that thanks to unprofessional staff .. she called the cops on me but I continue to walked out so once again I’m sorry but I wasn’t not paying for the ghetto customer services from server and manager of the day … if I did something wrong let me know I will...

So I must say the first time we went it was really nice we said close to where the co-workers hang out it wasn't much going on I had the pasta dinner and everything was great that was last month and it was a round 3:00 visit. However tonight we went because we liked it the first time and I must say I don't think I'm going back and I want to let it be known I'm definitely not a racist we have mixed children however it's a family establishment right so number one as we got seated it was not so crowded at first we decided to go with the all you can eat the first chicken wings that came out were so hard it almost took my tooth out same for my friends we asked the waitress to check them out and possibly get us as a replacement it took almost 30 minutes for the next four to be brought to the table with pretty much the same way overcooked way too hard the waitress seemed very tired she didn't come around to ask to refill drinks or check on us much the only time she was quick with it is when we asked for the bill and when it come to pay the bill it was definitely not a good experience. And to top it off it was kind of like a fiesta in there I don't mind Mexican music or Hispanic music however that was all that was playing and really loud and the people at the bar got really loud the drunker they got definitely not a family atmosphere I came to have a dinner and enjoy your conversation everything...

My wife and I needed dinner and we went to the only place we know always satisfies our bellies and that was this Applebees! Our server was Rhonda and she was amazing! From the moment she told us she was our server until we left out the door her customer service was everything! We felt so welcomed and comfortable. Rhonda was super helpful in helping us decide our appetizers and meals for the night. She was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. She gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy one another and didn’t rush us. She made sure to check on us and always had a smile when stopping by our table! That’s why we love coming to this location because we’ve met some pretty amazing staff and the food is always fresh and hot! Rhonda was like superwoman attending to other tables and getting everyone what they needed in such a timely manner including us! The food was delicious (had the new glazed grilled chicken on the menu) it was so good!! We will definitely be back and we want Rhonda! Thank you so much for making our night tonight my wife just lost her job and we both had a long stressful day but you definitely lifted our spirits! Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
