Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Winder

Picked up food to go from this establishment. I ordered $40 worth of food which included 3 cheese enchiladas and the chorichanga. When I arrived home and got into the food the enchiladas ended up being chicken instead of cheese and the chorichanga had no chorizo on it. I called the restaurant and they asked if I could come back and they would fix the issue, I explained that I was now 20 minutes away and asked if they could take my name down instead. They took my name and said they would take care of it the next time I came by. 2 weeks later (this past Sunday) I called and told the girl who answered and said they took my name down and were going to replace my food and she said no problem so I put in a to go order when I was leaving publix. I also ordered a few other things I was going to pay for. When I arrived the food was ready and she rang it up and it was double what I was expecting. I told her I had called 15 minutes before and they said they had my name. She said "yes and I gave you 5% off". I was like "oh I was under the impression they were replacing it". She told me that the manager wasn't there and that I would have to talk to he/she to have it replaced. I said I already did that when I called in when the food was messed up originally but ok, ill talk to them again. She just stared at me and finally said "the manager isn't here right now, they will be back in 15 minutes". Of course I had frozen food in the car and couldn't wait so I told her that. She literally just stared at me. Needless to say I left without food and will not be returning. Its sad because I spent $40 twice a month...

The food was great...we first had their food as a delivery order a few days ago and we loved it. We also truly enjoyed the food again last night.

The reason for the 1 star deduction was for the actual experience that we had while at the restaurant...due to their card payment system being 'down', making them unable to accept any card payments. Now, I do understand that situations arise and things happen beyond our control...however, the way that this was handled caused a great inconvenience for us.

We were directly told about the card payment situation as we were being handed the bill for our meal, when I began pulling out my card to pay. They tried to tell us that the system had "...just gone down, just now...", which I knew was completely false, because I'd heard the other server tell the table across the patio from us--we were dining outside--about the issue, which was long BEFORE the server that we had started to take our meal orders...by atleast 10-12mins! Instead of telling us about this issue BEFORE we placed our main order--we'd only had drinks and chips at this point--they just let it ride. Which, in the end, caused US to have to deal with the issue! Because, in order to pay for our meal, my son and I were told to walk across the parking lot to the ATM located in the middle of the parking lot, at 10p at night to pull...

We placed an order for chicken with nachos on the side and sauted vegetables (3 orders) to go. Got there to pick up the order and the guy standing at the order desk didn't care to acknowledge me. I found the checkout window, paid and asked for my order. The guy didn't care to bring the order up, instead he pointed to the 3 bags at the bar. So, I walked over and got my orders. The restaurant was empty with only 2 couples dining in. There was no reason why I couldn't have customer service. Got home just to see that the order was wrong. We got a splash of chicken on a tray full of chips, no sauteed vegetables (onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and jalapeño) and still chips on the side. We paid $33 for a splash of chicken and a whole lot of chips. We called the store about the order being incorrect. Instead of having the issue resolved, the rep argued and said "it's food". He did not apologize for the error on their part. He did not offer to fix the order nor give our money back. We will NEVER order or dine here. The customer service was horrible. The telephone communication was horrible and the food portion and ability to place a correct order was horrible. We will be sure to let the rest of our community know about the very poor customer service from this store. This was not the first time we encountered this issue...
