Michaels — Local services in Winder

Not to happy with this location. My husband and son were acting goofy. My 8 year old son came and showed me something my husband clearly told him to do. I corrected him immediately and he ran back to my husband. A few minutes later a older lady came looking for my son. She walked by me looking directly at me. And found my husband and told him what my son had done. I immediately jumped in because she said he had done it to her, which clearly was not the case. And she continued to go on and on about the situation. After walking away from her, My husband and I were having a private conversation and she comes over to us and says you are angry? I said no I am not. She said you are and someone came and told me you were cussing about it. I never said the first cuss word and was not even taking about what happened with my son. She was starting to get loud with me and I told her I was finished having this conversation with her. I went and asked who the manager on duty was and of course it was her. After having other customers looking at me like I had done something wrong and felt awkward I left all my items in the shopping cart and left the store. Purchased Gildan womens vneck shirt here in store in hot pink. Washed the shirt in cold water with the rest of my color clothes and the pink shirt bled (it was the only pink item in the load) ruining several other items. I tried leaving a review under the product on the Michael’s website to warn others since the shirt itself did not instruct to wash alone for risk of color bleed but the website would not allow me to. It kept generating a message saying I could not review the item unless I purchased it- which I did in store but apparently their website only lets you review items you purchase online which is ridiculous and unfair to consumers. Also I think it’s majorly irresponsible to not add a warning sticker to this item advising people that this may damage their clothes or providing clear washing instructions to wash alone without anything else. Additionally the tag of the shirt is gray (as opposed to white) and the font is very small making the information on it very...

I always find what I need as everything is very organized. They always have good prices, great sales and I'm extremely impressed with the coupons I get in my emails. One of the main reasons being that if you have a 50% off a single regular priced item coupon but you purchase, say 4 or 5, the coupon will be applied to the most expensive item-as opposed to that $2 pen you just had to have. No more having to break top items into separate purchases (and paying extra tax) just bc you want to use the coupon on the canvas or crystals rather than your pen. NO store does that. If that weren't reason enough to love Michael's, they carry a little bit of everything you could need for arts and crafts projects. I get Swarovski crystals to make jewelry and do nail art, my kids get glitter slime and the stuff to make their own.
