Full disclosure, I'm comparing Qdoba to another popular burrito restaurant.
This was my first time ever eating at a Qdoba. My overall experience was "Meh".
We went there with our family of 5, ordering 4 meals with the total coming to over $40. The price of the burritos and bowls were on par with the other popular burrito restaurant, but the "3 taco" option was still $8! When the total came up, I was shocked at the price for the amount of food we got, with my conclusion being that you're not really getting what you pay for.
The burritos themselves were okay at best. They lacked flavor, were wrapped very portly to the point of the contents spilling out, and while they seemed to be reasonably full they just didn't leave me feeling satisfied. The sour cream and ground beef were the only things that were flavorful.
The restaurant was clean, well staffed and stocked on drink lids, straws, utensils and napkins. The overall atmosphere was good, kind of giving me an "modern industrial" vibe.
All in all, I wasn't happy with my experience but I wasn't extremely displeased. I'd be willing to go back some day with just my wife and I and give it another chance. Before then, I hope they correct their burrito wrapping skills and work on the amount of filling of the items that give you that full, satisfied feeling. I shouldn't have to lay over $40 to get a falling apart burrito that leaves my family feeling hungry an hour...
Read moreFirst time dining here! Attractive decor with tables, booths, and hightop seating area. QDOBA is comparatively new to the dining scene, but around long enough that the staff is plentiful and well trained. They could be a bit friendlier but they seem to be used to the college aged set. While the menu seems much like Chipotle I can day I much prefer QDOBA as they have both spicy and mild dishes. I had a carnitas bowl which was flavor packed and juicy. My dining partner had the burrito that they ranked high in flavor. This is a great addition to the Winona area. That opinion seems to be shared by the many people entering to order. Tables were clean as was the drink bar and the dining area. Restrooms are single use and were clean also although paper towels were out in the womens. This place will go on our list of good places to stop at. Parking is good, with handicap...
Read moreQuick food, good food, really nice interior. This particular location could do a bit better on the gluten free accommodations—they're a LITTLE lax on the washed hands, gloves, and new utensils if I pay attention, but with Celiac's I've not heard had any serious problems with getting "glutened". A couple weird tummy rumbles that's possibly contamination but no one is perfect 100% of the time unfortunately. Definitely an aspect that (in my experience) Chipotle is a little better at. Overall I enjoy eating at Qdoba more though, particularly...
