MEATS: Let me start off by saying I had high expectations for this place because I thought it would be equivalent to Fogo De Chao. If you come here with those expectations, you'll be let down fairly hard. I tried over 10 different cuts of meat that were going around throughout the evening, but each one was unbearingly salty. I think I must've drank at least 5 or 6 cups of water to help dilute the saltiness. That basically sums up my experience here. Some of the meats were cooked well-done, other meats were cooked medium rare. Honestly, it was a toss-up for which rareness of meat you were going to recieve.
BUFFET BAR: They have black beans, rice, asparagus, balsamic mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, collared greens, cheese, smoked salmon, and salads with toppings.
DESSERT: The cheesecake was AMAZING. The restaurant really caters towards special requests, such as anniversaries. Kudos to them!
DRINKS: The drinks are PHENOMENAL. I had 2 cocktails, the Caipirinha ($11.00) and the Blueberry Mule ($11.00). Both drinks were fairly strong, so you know that you're getting the bang for your buck. The Caipirinha was sweet but not overbearingly sweet and had a fresh, rich flavor. The Blueberry Mule tasted exactly how it sounds like. Both were exceptional drinks.
SERVICE: The service here is FANTASTIC. The hostess was friendly and accomodating since it was my first time here, The servers carrying around the cuts of meat are also friendly as well. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before, the employees at Cowboy will make you feel like you're home and answer all of your questions. I was worried that the servers wouldn't come around to the table that often, but they showed up every 2 minutes or so.
DRESS CODE: There is no dress code here. My significant other and I dressed up for a nice evening out, but we were extremely overdressed at this restaurant. The other customers were wearing jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies.
PARKING: No parking lot. Street parking is available that is free on the weekends and metered on the weekdays during business hours.
WORTH IT? At a price of $59.99, it does break the wallet, but you're also getting an unlimited amount of meat. Hopefully, I don't get gout. (Overall, 6/10)
PLEASE NOTE: If you and a loved one are celebrating an anniversary, if the anniversary is less than 5 years, then both of you will share 1 dessert. If the anniversary is over 5 years, then each of you will receive your own dessert! I thought this was a very kind gesture to their customers.
ALSO: They have a Groupon available, so you can save up to 20%...

Title: A Gastronomic Haven Reborn under New Management
Rating: ★★★★★
From the moment we stepped into Lasso Gacho, it was evident that this place has transformed completely under its new management. Gone are the days of the old establishment; in its stead stands a culinary gem that excels in every aspect, from ambiance to service, and most importantly, food.
The first thing that hits you is the incredible variety of the buffet. It's like stepping into a gastronomic wonderland, with what seems like a million items to choose from. Each dish was a delightful surprise, showcasing quality and taste that could easily rival any top-notch restaurant. The cleanliness of the facilities only added to the pleasant dining experience, with even the bathrooms being remarkably well-maintained, which is always a good sign of the overall attention to detail.
But let's talk about the star of the show - the meat. As a Brazilian steakhouse, Lasso Gacho takes its meats seriously, and it shows. I've never had meat like this in my life; each cut was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. The variety was astonishing, and the quality was consistently outstanding across the board.
Service at Lasso Gacho is unparalleled. The manager, Patrick, deserves a special shout-out for ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. He was attentive without being intrusive, making sure that we had everything we needed and that the food just kept coming, ensuring a seamless flow to our meal.
The atmosphere at Lasso Gacho is another aspect that deserves praise. It's soothing and calming, making it an ideal spot for any occasion, be it a family gathering or a romantic date. The setting is designed in such a way that you can't help but relax, enjoy your meal, and yes, maybe slip into a food coma as you make your way out.
In summary, Lasso Gacho is a testament to how new management can completely rejuvenate a place. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in an extraordinary dining experience where the quality of food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I can't wait to go back and relive the culinary journey that Lasso Gacho offers. Whether you're planning a family outing or a date night, this Brazilian steakhouse is guaranteed to leave you impressed and eagerly anticipating...
Read moreEh. It was decent. Parking is terrible. There are paid spots on the street and a paid public garage around the corner. Some outside signage around the restaurant to direct you to the door would be helpful.
We did get seated immediately, even with being a few minutes late for our 6:15 reservation.
The restaurant was packed. I think there were only 2 empty tables when we were seated, and we sat at one of them.
Tables are close together and it was much too easy to hear the conversation of the people at the next table.
Our server appeared quickly and explained how the process works (not our first time, but she explained anyway.). She offered to bring us water and then offered the drink menu and told us to help ourselves to the salad bar.
Far less than we are used to at a Brazilian restaurant, the salad bar is pressed against a wall with maybe a dozen offerings. There are cocktail shrimp, but that's about the extent of anything "fancy." 3 kinda of green salad, salad toppings and veggies, and then a variety of other salads - egg salad, chicken salad, a Greek cucumber salad, caprese salad were kinda it. There's a small hot bar with black beans and rice (husband said they were quite good), mashed potatoes, beef stroganoff, and brown gravy. Oh, and there was chicken soup. Seems like a lot - really isn't
The gauchos were pretty quick, but almost rushed. We were still eating from our salad bar trip when they started presenting the meat to us, even with our card turned to red.
We were never given fresh plates. Ever. We are everything from the plate we got from the salad bar.
We did get soda refills and seconds of the cheese bread and the fried bananas (the only sides offered), but only after they had all been empty for some time.
The meat itself was very fatty and not very flavorful. The best meat I had was the Parmesan pork. The picanha was fatty and tasted like raw meat. There's no way that the bacon-wrapped "filet" was actually filet mignon. It was beef, but rough, more like stew meat. The grilled cheese was interesting and pretty good. Never saw any lamb at all. The grilled pineapple was by far the standout of the meal.
It was fine. Definitely not worth the amount we paid for it, but we didn't want to drive to Charlotte or Greenville. Next time, we'll make the trip to be sure we have better food...
