I've been to the Dave & Busters in Providence, RI before, but this was my first time to the Woburn location. Games are always fun, maybe a little expensive for what you get, so two stars for those. There's a $3 fee for each game card, which is a little irritating and feels like you are getting ripped off since you need the cards in order to play. The rest of this review will be geared towards our restaurant experience.
Me and 7 other adults stopped by this past Saturday around 5:30 PM and put our name in at the restaurant. About a 45-minute wait, at least, they told us. So we go in to play some games while we wait for a text telling us that our table is ready.
About 45-60 minutes later, we get a text and immediately head over to the restaurant. The waiting area at the restaurant is poorly set up, with servers and bussers constantly charging through with food and dirty dishes while you wait to speak to the host. We immediately felt unwelcome and in the way.
We get to the host and he tells us that he texted us 40 minutes ago and after 20 minutes of us "no-showing", he gave our table away. But we had come as soon as we got the text, so either your cell service in the game area absolutely sucks or someone wasn't being honest. So we waited in the "waiting area" while they figured out a way to get us seated.
Once seated, it took a good 10 minutes before a server came over to our table. We could see she had another 2 large parties at the same time so this was understandable, but it would have been nice if someone had said "be right with you" or something to that effect. The alcoholic drinks we got (the one with the light up ice cube) were absolutely terrible, way too much sour mix. Food was average, but it took at least 30-45 minutes to arrive. By then we had to rush to eat so we had some time left for games. It's about 8:10 PM at this point, almost 3 hours after we arrived.
We felt bad for our server because she seemed overwhelmed but the restaurant experience as a whole left a lot to be desired. Management is clearly an issue, because the experiences I have had at the Providence location have always been pleasant, including the food.
If you're headed down to Woburn, however, I would eat before you go. Or maybe at one of the many...

We attended two kids’ birthday parties this past weekend—same franchise, two different locations on consecutive days—and the difference between them was night and day.
The Braintree location was excellent. The food was unexpectedly delicious, the staff was attentive, and the service was smooth. It felt like a well-run, family-friendly environment, and we had a wonderful time. Everything felt organized, and it set the tone for what we thought would be a consistently great experience with this franchise.
Unfortunately, the next day at this Woburn location it was a complete letdown. The place seemed understaffed, and right from the start, we were greeted at the bar by a bartender who had almost finished his shift was nice enough to share he is alone and juggling around….and than comes this bartender who just started her shift but was already shockingly rude and dismissive. She lacked basic courtesy and communication, and instead of welcoming guests, she went as far as to publicly confront and kick out a family from the bar seating area, telling them, “You can’t just come and sit here—you need to wait to be seated,” even though no one had been at the counter to help us or them for over 10 minutes. The bar was nearly empty, so her attitude was uncalled for and completely unnecessary.
The food served in the party hall was cold and dry, which was disappointing but still could have been overlooked—had the service not been so poor. The bar experience truly ruined the vibe for our group. We ended up leaving the bar early and reported the issue to the manager, who was considerate and genuinely concerned, which we appreciated.
That said, families come here to celebrate milestones and make lasting memories, and experiences like this tarnish the whole purpose. I truly hope the management addresses the staffing and training issues, because until then, I can’t recommend this location. one last thing to add as its a kids play area franchise they literally should have a strict NO SMOKING sign at the entrance door seriously its a common civic sense for real people need SIGNS for...
Read moreI had hosted my sons birthday party on March 19, 2022 at Dave and Busters Woburn. We had the worst experience one can have. Dave and Buster’s should not commit to things they cannot deliver.
The party started late. Our booking was at 2:00pm. We and our guests had arrived at 2:00pm but our table was not ready till 2:15pm.
No server or service was provided. I was told a party server will be provided for the kids but not the adults. We got seated but with no server in sight. Around 2:40pm we see food that we had pre-ordered lying on the table, next to our table. We were not sure if it was our food. Then after a few minutes we realized nobody will either confirm or help. We helped ourselves to it.
A kid accident dropped drink on the table and there was absolutely no help. There were no napkins we could use to wipe. So we shifted the kids around on other chairs.
For cake cutting nobody was there to help. The dishes that were left on the table were soaking wet.
We were told unlimited drinks but there was nobody who could be asked to refill the jugs.
During the playtime we needed help with the wrist band that was provided. We lost 15 minutes of our playtime juggling between people and waiting for manager.
Ask anyone for help they would say we will connect you to manager. And Manager was no where in sight till 15 to 20min.
On top of everything a 20% gratuity was charged on our bill for the service that was not provided.
At 4:30pm sharp we were asked to remove everything and were asked to pay $1 per jacket.
I wrote to the party manager about the mismanagement. Leave alone apology there has been no response.
I would have had a better experience if I would have been told that there will be no service. I would have been prepared. It just hit me as a surprise.
For the amount they charged I would have hosted my party someplace else.
I am not going back...
