After coming to this location and being treated absolutely disrespectfully. I looked into this business in their practices.
0 stars across-the-board due to its lack of cultural identity, ethnicity and diversity in its business practices/values. This business was established in the late 90s. There's absolutely no excuse for lack of cultural diversity or ignorance and biases against those who identify as anything but white. Working here- the typical standard mean teenage and young adult white ppl that try to have that it factor but can't help but to exude that small town trash vibe. That's the thing in Washington I guess, everyone wants to be somebody but ends up being nobody while working at a coffee booth. How can you build a business in Washington and employ absolutely 0 people of color. Doesn't surprise me since this is eastside based business. All the council members and politicians that reside on this side of King County are typically racist, bias and self-serving. Mercury Coffee; get with the times. Excel your business with diversity, inclusion, and equity instead of holding the business back with discriminatory practices. If you have to fire your entire staff and start over, then do that. There are tons of people at these locations that do not want to excel and adapt to a more inclusive work environment. Those are the people holding the business back with their bad attitudes and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have stopped by here a few times in the morning before heading to work. Some of the staff who helped with my orders were kind, and it was nice to see everyone working hard. I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, I try to write only positive ones.
Today, a different staff member, whom I had never seen before, assisted with my order. After adding a tip that accounted for nearly 48% of the total, they requested my signature. Of course, it's partly my fault for not checking the amount carefully, but this felt excessive.
I donāt know if that employee was having a bad day or was just tired. I can also understand the stereotype that some Asians donāt tip well. As someone who also works in the service industry, I always tip at least 25% and respect those who work hard. However, today, I felt so uncomfortable that it crossed into discrimination, making me wonder if that person simply dislikes Asians.
Still, if you work in customer service, is it really necessary to start someoneās morning on such a negative note? Iām not sure if they treat all customers this way, but it felt like an unspoken message telling me never to come back.
Since this is a busy place, my absence likely wonāt matter. However, Iām leaving this review to advise future customers to carefully check the tipping options...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas visiting Seattle this past weekend and wanted to find a local coffee shop to check out. I was hesitant on coming here because it was advertised as organic coffee, so I initially thought the coffee would taste more bitter or not as good in generalā¦but I wanted to try it anyway. I WAS SO WRONG. This coffee is some of the BEST Iāve had in a longgggg time! Iām sad we donāt have any in Phoenix because I would seriously come here ALL the time if I could! I ordered the hot white mocha both times I came and it was SUPERB! šš½ I also love the fact that the 24oz comes with 3 shots of espresso because I love me some extra shots. Will be thinking of this coffee ALL the time until I come back to WA! Also, whoever worked at this location the night of Sunday (8/10) was one of the nicest girls Iāve ever met. So genuine and the definition of exceptional customer service! Thank you for the positive experience and...
