McDonald's — Restaurant in Woodland Park

Updating this review to one star from two.

October, 2018: News sites are reporting that McDonalds has started selling the McRib again for a limited time. That's the one thing my wife really LOVES at McD's... I won't eat the slop this places sells as "food," but if my wife wants something from here (thankfully rarely), then I'll get it for her! SO, I go here a week ago to buy a McRib for my wife and don't see it on the menu. I wait until there's no one at the counter ordering and walk up and ask the closest McD's "worker" (more like non-worker), if they have the McRib... She looks at me like I have two heads and am speaking a foreign language. I then say, "The McRib... Do you have it here?" Again she gives me a look like she's never even heard of the McRib, so I say, "It's all over the news that McDonald's is selling the McRib again," and she then says, "We don't have it and we might have it around Christmas time! Not all McDonald's carry the same things." So I say, "Okay, thanks," and turn to walk out... As I am doing so, I hear her badmouthing about me to one of the other do-nothing workers there about "this guy thinks we should have the McRib or something.".. I wanted to turn around and say something to the rude Witch... But just kept walking thinking it's amazing people buy anything at all at this place! Normally, every place you go in Woodland Park you will find extremely friendly and helpful people, but not at this McDonald's! They have thoroughly trained out any hint of customer service here so it will remind you of every other McDonald's in the world!

Previous review: Who actually reads reviews on McDonalds? If you eat at McDonalds, you already know it is definitely not fine dining! Only thing you should know about this one is they are unusually slow compared to others. They even went to the trouble of adding a double drive thru lane, which seems to have now slowed down their service even more! We drove up the other day (been here several times now) and sat at the second drive thru lane for several minutes while the vehicles in the first lane we're being handled. I finally asked if someone was going to take our order. And they told me to wait some more! They were way slow enough with one drive thru lane! Sheesh. Same crappy food you get at every other McDonalds with poor preparation and all. But, sometimes it's the only option available even if it isn't quick. The other places in Woodland Park get pretty crowded, especially in the summer, and my wife has decided she no longer likes Burger King at the local location. Yeah... If someone wants me to post pictures of the lousy presentation of this McDonalds... I certainly can....

This is the only McDonald's near to where we live and we are so grateful that the customer service and employees' attention to detail is so great! We have never had a wrong order, we have never had to "pull up" and wait for our order to be brought out, and the drive thru employees always have a smile on their face when they greet us.

April 2022 Update

This was a great experience today. The person who took my order repeated it back to me. The person who provided the food in drive-thru realized one of the coffees was made wrong and immediately apologized (didn't need to as it happens), and made a new one maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Came over the July 4th weekend, it was very busy, but service was quick, order was correct, and employees were professional and friendly!

While initially my order was taken wrong, they remedied it quickly without charging extra, and a smile on their face. No complaints!

Continue to have great experiences here. No complaints! Don is great! He is new and works the drive-thru. He is efficient, extremely polite and professional! And he gets the order correct!

This location is consistently...

We stopped in for a quick bite before heading up to the mountains. It's kind of a tradition before fishing or hiking. It was busy this day. Lots of people waiting for their food. People were upset. We ordered our food and sat down. The cashier was nice. We got our order 15 minutes later. After distributing food for our party of 5 (we were with another group of 5 too), we realized that some things were missing. A hash brown and two breakfast sandwiches. I went to the counter and the nice young cashier told me that he was being yelled at by the guy in the back. I told him to talk to me. He got him for me. He was young and already upset. He started saying that the order was correct before I even said anything. He didn't overhear us as the place was filling up. I said that he could come to the table and compare it to the receipt but he wasn't interested and was mumbling. I decided it wasn't worth it and ordered a replacement. That took 17 minutes. That same kid brought out the order and smashed it down. I took it to the table and it was messed up looking. I decided not to eat the replacements as that kid was mad and likely tampered with it. This was really unprofessionaland disrespectful behavior. It isn't good that they allow that behavior towards other workers and customers. I will never return. The people in both our groups thought the food was subpar and somehow cold, the coffee was...
